Line 6 technology in a easy-to-use and affordable format.

The Line 6 Spider III 30 delivers 4 amp models-clean, crunch, metal, and insane—that cover a broad range of essential rock sounds. These basic sounds can then be modified with a selection of effects. Now you can rule the stage with the Insane model with its truly massive gain or explore your sensitive side in the studio with the Clean model. The Spider III will give you the dialed-in tone you want in an instant. Less tweaking. More playing.

Amp Models:
Clean: Red LED - Select this amp model and adjust the tone controls to get crisp, amazing clean tones, great warm jazz tones, and all the high-end shimmer you'll need with a generous amount of bottom end.

Crunch: Red LED - This sound was crafted during Line 6's studies* of the '68 Marshall© Plexi 50 Watt. This type of Marshall© amp was used by a number of early metal bands. Crunch provides a wider range of tone control settings than the original Marshall© amp had.

Metal: Red LED - This Amp Model is based on* the Mesa/Boogie© Dual Rectifier©. Use this Amp Model to get a tight and punchy, high gain Metal sound.

Insane: Red LED - This model is Line 6's "dialed in for shredding" version based on* the Mesa/Boogie© Dual Rectifier© red channel. It combines the intensity and impact of Metal Red, but delivers more midrange and teeth for that bone-crushing, brain piercing insane grind.

Effects:
A great amp isn't the only part of a great guitar sound. With Smart Control FX, an exclusive Line 6 feature that automatically dials in different effect parameters, you spend more time playing and less time tweaking. Simply find the effect that you want, turn the knob to your desired intensity, and you're done. You can even use multiple effects at the same if you wanna get really crazy.

Effects Models (Up to 2 effects simultaneous)
Phaser
Chorus/Flanger
Tremolo
Sweep Echo
Tape Echo
Reverb

Ins & Outs
When you're playing with your band on stage just drag the Spider III on stage and crank it up. When it comes time to record, use the headphone/direct out and plug it straight into the mixing board for world-class POD© 2.0 direct tone used in pro studios and stages everywhere! You can also use the same out with headphones for practicing in your bedroom. Want to play along with your favorite songs? Plug into the CD/MP3 input and you're good to go.

Great Amp

This is a great amp. It's loud, high quality sound, and has plenty of effects. Features - Great effects that work well with my Fender Strat. It can make great blues tones and it has great pre-set channels. The insane and metal channels are a little too much distortion for my personal taste, but with the drive adjustment you can tone them down to sound great. Only feature complaint is that I have heard that you can re-program the four channels, but the manual says nothing about it (or at least doesn't make it clear.) Quality - Great sound. I am a beginner, therefore I do not play in any concerts or small gigs so I wouldn't know about how it works live, but this is a great amp for practice. Plenty lound enough to get the house shaking. Value - One of the best amps in the price range. I've done a lot of research and this amp was one of the best options for the price. Overall - A great practice amp that gives you a wide variety of sounds that will be great for any style of music that you want to play. 100% recommended by me.

Amazing!

I just got this amp as a Christmas gift...and I must say, I'll never need another amp for at least another 5 years! The sound is great, the reverb kicks (plus it's got chorus flange, phaser, tremblo, sweep echo, and tape echo). The 4 settings (Clean, Crunch, Metal, and Insane) are perfect for anyone who plays. The overdrive kicks aswell! The 12" speakers are insane for small gigs (comparing to the Marshall 30 watt which only has 10" speakers).

Basement shaker

I,m a married father of two,I spend most my time driving back and forth to work. But when I can I have some old buddies over for a jam. When I first bought this amp It was with the intention of jamming in the bedroom maybee with some headphones. Everthing I try in the store seems to sound good there, then ok at home. This amp here shakes the basement, It's loud enough for drums. The clean channel does crack a little over half way but if your looking for something to make some noise in the 200.00 price range this is it. Add a fbv express pedal and you get great control with a surprisingly responsive wah pedal. If your used to a morley, crybaby, vox, whatever, it will take some getting used to but for a combined price of just over 300.00, its the best 300.00 I've spent on music in 15 years!

Versatile Little Amp

I was all set to buy the little Marshall with the digital effects but decided to try out a Line6. I decided on the Line6 because it could do everything the Marshall could do, plus more. I really like the tape delay function and use that and the chorus almost all the time. The effects are also really fun to play around with so if you don't have a lot of money and want to play with a bunch of effects, this would be your amp. I really like all the different tones you can get out of this amp. You can crank up the gain on the clean channel and get a really nice fender sound. The distortion channels are really sweet! You can crank them up, add a little chorus and delay and you sound like an instant rock star. I also like the fact that this amp sounds good through the headphones because I play a lot late at night after my kids go to sleep. Build quality is excellent: I got the floor model that had been thoroughly pawed and it still works and looks great. BTW, I got it because GC completely sold out of the 30! Also, getting the Celestion speaker on the 30 is well worth the couple extra dollars over the smaller Line6's. The one drawback which is obvious is the size. You can crank it up quite loud and annoy the neighbors, but there is tons of feedback with my Epi LP that I find annoying. But overall, for a practice amp, it is an excellent value and a joy to play.

As a side note...

For the people who seem to have a problem with different effects being on while turning to a different channel, its because you can save different effects and tones to different channels. Alls you need to do is set the tone you want for that specific channel (effects on or off as well) and then press and hold the channel button itself for a few seconds until it blinks twice. Then the tone is saved and you wont have that problem of your amp buzzing, or having the Tape Echo on when you turn it onto a certain channel.
