LP Padded Cajon Throne

By Luman Ferrell Jr

from El Centro, Calif.

Comments about LP Cajon Throne:

Overall, I like this new product. This throne fits nicely on top of your cajon and it rotates much as a regular drummer's throne will. My concern with it is that it is only 10" in diameter and it is 2" thick. The throne that I use with my regular drum set is 12" diameter. Due to the smaller diameter of the cajon throne it is nowhere as comfortable as a full size drummer's throne seat is. Also since the throne is 2" thick, this means that you are going to have to reach an extra 2" down if you are going to play your cajon with your hands. I find that this makes it hard to keep my back straight and I find myself bending over more than I would if I was not using the throne. This might be alright for a song or two, but I would not want to sit on this thing for an entire 4 hour performance if I was going to play the cajon with my bare hands. Thus, I am only giving it 4 stars. Fortunately, I like to use cajon brushes instead of my bare hands and thus I don't have to bend over so much. In summary, this is an innovative product, but I would not like to have to use it for a long period of time. I would rather sit on the cajon itself if faced with a long performance.

Didn't last long

Comments about LP Cajon Throne:

I bought this we started playing more gigs. The throne which was light weight and sort of comfortable and affordable. Unfortunately it lasted about two months before falling completely apart. I'm not a huge man or abusive of my equipment. This is just a cheaply made product that is what you pay for. Unfortunately not a lot of options here.
