The LP Aspire Bongo mount is an easy, quick, and secure way of mounting bongos, then adjusting them to the optimal playing position. It is the perfect unit for adding bongos to LP Aspire or Matador double conga stands without resorting to purchasing a whole new stand. The mounting system combines with LP's patented strap-lock device to ensure rapid set up/take down. For precise positioning of bongo skins, the neck pivots to taste.

I went to Guitar Center and received advice on the right mounting bracket to order for my LP conga stand. Sales associate was knowledgeable and sent me the link to the right product. I ordered online for home delivery and received the item shockingly fast considering I only asked for ground shipping. It installs perfectly and dramatically improves the drumming experience.
After looking for a bongo stand for some time, I came across the LP Aspire mount. At first, after seeing the Aspire badge, I was a bit put off as the aspire series is marketed as beginner level components. This stand really was the best choice for me, as I have limited space for my drums, and no room for a second floor stand, so I bought one. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to mount by vintage Gon Bops bongos to my Gibraltar conga stand, and the strap lock system holds them very securely. I'm not a hard hitter (usually) but the mound holds the bongos rock solid even when playing loudly. The only thing I wish is that the entire bracket had the nice chrome finish. The angle adjustment is powder coated black and cheapens the look. One little detail you should be aware of: Many conga stands have a notch in the top plate to allow the bolts of the conga mounting flange to clear, as does my Gibraltar - The LP bongo mount does not, and the congas may hang-up on the bongo mount flange. A simple solution is to hang the congas on the stand first and THEN mount the bongo bracket. it's just as solid, and doesn't raise your congas the extra 1/4 inch.
I had no problem at all installing this mount onto my existing Conga stand, and it gives me the ability to play both conga and bomgos together with ease as the bongos sit just at the right height above my congas for me.It also takes up no additional floor space which is key with the smaller stages. The strap that attaches the mount to the bongos is ok, but does limit the height setting somewhat. I guess if someone was taller than me, (I'm only 5'3")with longer arms, it might not work as well. I'm very happy with it.
