These are great personal vocal monitors to use in an acoustic setup - but NOT for anything that would require low freqs. or high volume levels. Great for keyboardist to use because he's too far from the regular stage monitors on the floor. Drummer likes them too 'cause they're set on a mike stand right next to his set. Very controllable but again, vocals only. No low-mid or low freqs.

I use this at church where we do not have in-ear monitoring. We are on the side of the sanctuary where we took out two sets of pews. This space is cramped at best. This monitor works well to just hear myself. The tone is not there but at least I know where I'm at.

More power than I imagined

By rick richey _

Comments about Kustom KPC4P Powered Monitor Speaker:

These are inexpensive monitors but I have been very pleased so far. Much more power than I was expecting. If they continue to be reliable, this will be the best audio equipment purchase I've made so far.

What do you expect for under $100?

By Neil Kraft

from ohio

Comments about Kustom KPC4P Powered Monitor Speaker:

i got this for my drummer and haven't heard any complaints yet. I think these monitors are a big convenience for a low price. we are just a bar band and the power output is sufficient and the features and size works for small stages. I expect Kustom to add an EQ to this model but it would futile, its just a good little monitor, nothing else.

Comments about Kustom KPC4P Powered Monitor Speaker:

My wife and I are in a four piece cover band. We play at a lot of bars that need us to bring our own PA equipment. Not wanting to spend the money on a larger mixer with auxiliary out this seems like a logical easy option. Even with the drum set and bass blaring in our ears we can hear ourselves perfectly through this little monitor. Great investment!

I'm a drummer in a blues band. I had trouble hearing the vocals during performances. This monitor, which easily attaches to a mic stand is great for hearing vocals. Attach it to a monitor with an XLR cable and you're ready to go. Love it!

Will be on stage with it soon, however, in rehearsals seems to do the job quite well. Sound seems quite clear, no fuzzing or distortion noticed to date, easy to handle.

Comments about Kustom KPC4P Powered Monitor Speaker:

Good for small to medium performances. Probably not designed for concert situations...but i cannot say for sure. Has enough volume and it sounds natural to me. There are some complaints about the sound or not enough volume. Maybe its due to improper hookup or application. I have no problem, I use it for a vocal monitor.

Comments about Kustom KPC4P Powered Monitor Speaker:

Just got my KPC4P this week and haven't tried it yet. But the acoustic guitar player I'm in a trio with has one and I know what to expect. It's just a great little personal monitor to cut through stage levels and give a clear source. I like the pas through feature too becasue it opens up different aspects of use. I'm even considering trying it out as a acoustic guitar amp by feeding it a signal from my pedal board. For double the money, I could have gotten a Roland CM-30. But for the price, these are a deal.

I have tried it out with the band and can clearly hear the vocals, guitar and keyboard. It's also small and light weight and can be put on a mic stand type if wanted.

Comments about Kustom KPC4P Powered Monitor Speaker:

I play in a duo group. I am using to hear my singing. I have it mounted on a medium size mic stand, just the right height. Whereas the volume is not excessively loud, It sounds very good to me. Lets face it, with the size of the enclosure and the 50 watts, it isnt for large concerts. I don't understand the people that complain about the sound. My guess is that the hook up or application is wrong. Also this speaker enclosure is very well made.
