Overview

The strikingly designed Jackson RR3 Rhoads Pro Electric Guitar is a great guitar for its price. Alder body (with flamed maple top on the transparent finishes), maple neck, compound-radius rosewood fretboard, jumbo frets, Floyd Rose-licensed Jackson low-profile double-locking tremolo, Seymour Duncan JB (bridge) and Jazz (neck) humbuckers, volume/volume/tone with 3-way switching, and black hardware.

Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

Randy would be pleased

By Brandon Moore

from Clarksville, OH

Comments about Jackson RR3 Rhoads Pro Series Electric Guitar (2008 Model):

I love this guitar man. Dive bombs sear, the neck feels comftorble for people with large hands. The neck pick up sounds killer, great for sweep picking. The bridge pick up could have some more sustaine, so I will probally invest in a better quality bridge pick up. But other than that it's one of the best guitars I've played.

GOOD FOR METAL

By Ripps4-29

from Reno, NV

Comments about Jackson RR3 Rhoads Pro Series Electric Guitar (2008 Model):

Jackson guitars has always had a reputation for quality metal instruments. I've used it to play the EVH "Eruption" trick, and the sound is good for metal...The body also feels good to hold. Play this for 30 minutes, then go play another metal guitar for 2 hours. You'll notice a difference in sound and feel.

Pretty Nice Rhoads for Those Who Want to Shred

By SHRED_HEAD

from NJ

Comments about Jackson RR3 Rhoads Pro Series Electric Guitar (2008 Model):

The RR3 is definitely a nice V guitar. The asymmetrical shape fits real nice between the legs while sitting down. However, due to the looseness of the Floyd Rose made it tend to droop down and hit my legs. That could be adjusted. The neck on it is nice, but My Ibanez Wizard II neck is faster. The trem is fun to do dive bombs with and play stuff like Dragonforce, Vai or Satch on it. I marked it down in features because i'm not too fond of the neck joint on the model. If it was AANJ or a Scalloped heel i would have bought it immediately, but it's not so I put it on hold. I marked it down on quality because the model I played had high action and was out of tune...noticably. However, those are all simple things to adjust. In other words, If you are an aspiring shred-head like me, this is a perfect guitar for you to begin shredding with.

Best guitar I have ever owned

By Blakk Dragn

from Warren, Michagain USA

Comments about Jackson RR3 Rhoads Pro Series Electric Guitar (2008 Model):

Ive been playing for a little over a year now and was using a used Dean Dimeoflame. Compared to the jackson however, there is no comparison. I run through a Line 6 Spider 3 amp, and the metal distorion sounds amazing. And the Jackon's adler body is wicked cool and the graphic pattern (got the eerie dess) is not at all grainy or bubly like on the Dean. The action is insanely low and fast and the Floyd never gets in the way (a porblem with the Dean's huge tremo) The best part about the Jackson is it's compound neck makes it easaier for even some with short fingers like me to shed. I would recommend this product to anyone with hands, for they dont know what they are missing.

metal-head's dream

By Garland B

from michigan

Comments about Jackson RR3 Rhoads Pro Series Electric Guitar (2008 Model):

this guitar rocks! i loved this guitar from the moment i saw it so i bought one a couple months ago. coupled with some superslinkys, this guitar rocks. although the seymour duncan's are nice, an emg 85 in the neck and an emg 81 in the body sound a lot nicer. this guitar is great for sitting around playing, band practice or doing shows. it looks pretty and playes nice, too. the shape takes some getting used to and the tips chip easily, but i lve it anyway. the floyd rose is a nice feature along with the locking nut so it doesn't go out of tune. one problem is that it takes forever to change the tuning from d to c because you have to reset the springs. but i strongly recomend this guitar to any metal-head like myself.

Comments about Jackson RR3 Rhoads Pro Series Electric Guitar (2008 Model):

This is the king of guitars for metal. I'm a huge fan of Jackson guitars and the RR3 is one of their finest. The features are great. It's a bit hard playing it sitting down though. The style on it is great too.

WOW! Simply Amazing,

By Sid

from Utah, Eagle Mountain

Comments about Jackson RR3 Rhoads Pro Series Electric Guitar (2008 Model):

I have had this guitar for several months now and after i put my ideal strings on it this thing felt amazing. It is kind of funky to sit and play at first but you get used to it pretty fast, the pickups are pretty good and the neck feels amazing. This guitar is also probably one of the lightest electric guitars i have ever held. so anyways, if you love to shred, this is a deffinate shreader guitar and it is deffinetly worth every penny.

Sweetest Ride for the buck

By -P.C-

from Flint, Mi.

Comments about Jackson RR3 Rhoads Pro Series Electric Guitar (2008 Model):

I have always been a Strat kinda guy. I have a Jackson Stealth ex, and (it being a Jappanese guitar as well) gave one of these a try. I was initially scared of the way the body tilts "away from the player" but soon found out how much this helped my soloing!!!! My goodness, I love this rr3 so much, I went back the very next week and bought another one. (My wife was not ammused) . I can comforatably play all the way up and down this fret board, I even manage to pull off a 1st, 3rd, 5th fretted arpeggios(sp) with my index, middle, pinky without biting my own face off. Standard hard-ware (tried and trued) Floyd, Semore DUNCANS(not the"duncan designed"copies.) First thing I did (to both) was throw some #9 Ghs Boomers on there, and back off the tremelo spring mounted screws about 1/4 turn (To raise the action just a hair, and level out the Tremolo) Amazing fretboard! Amazing pickups!
