Overview

Shred in comfort and style with the innovative Jackson Pro Soloist SL2Q MAH, the final word in high-tech guitar design. A high performance evolution of the electric guitar, this instrument opens up new horizons of playability, resetting the bar of what's possible in guitar design. Unlock your full potential as a player and realize your musical dreams.

The 12-16 compound radius fingerboard is designed for highly technical lightspeed playing. More curved by the nut for comfortable chording, it flattens out as you move up the speedy neck for increasingly fast playing speed and wide bends without fretting out. Chosen specifically for their complementary sound, a pair of modern Seymour Duncan pickups drives this guitars versatile sounda crisp JB TB4 humbucking bridge pickup and warm 59 SH1N direct-mount humbucking neck pickup combine for highly balanced, flexible tone, with plenty of high output for pristine cleans and snarling distortion.

Master volume and tone controls shape the pickups output, which can be further refined with the three-position pickup toggle switch for the precise voice required to bring your musical vision to life. Dive and soar expressively with the Floyd Rose FRT-O2000 double-locking tremolo bridge, recessed for pick hand comfort and providing laser-accurate intonation and ultra-stable tuning when combined with the Floyd Rose R3 locking nut. The ergonomic Soloist body shape is designed for player comfort and increased balance, eliminating the dread neck dive that has brought many a headstock to a sad, untimely end.

The Lamborghini of guitars, Jackson has a proud history of creating instruments that are as easy on an audiences eyes are they are to the player's fingers and ears. All the famous Jackson appointments are here: all-black hardware, a durable gloss finish, alumiloid piranha neck inlays, single ply neck binding and Jacksons signature pointed 6-In-Line headstock exhibit bold taste. Not for the faint of heart, the Pro Soloist SL2Q MAH is ideal for pro-level players who demand the ultimate in high performance guitars

Comments about Jackson Pro Soloist - SL2Q MAH Electric Guitar:

I'm a 13 year old who has been playing guitar for four years and is the lead guitarist in a band. I didn't actually buy this guitar, but after playing it for a little while I made several observations:
The neck has a very nice feel, almost like an acoustic guitar, and is very comfortable. It is fairly thin, but not small, and has a slightly grainy feel without the uncomfortable gloss finish. This guitar has 24 jumbo frets, with the unique characteristic that although the frets do get smaller the higher up you go, it's still easy to solo up there, even with my fat fingers, and it has easier access to the higher frets then a Flying V or Rhoads. I also love the six to a side tuners.
As far as the electronics go, the pickups are very nice and don't get muddy even with the gain cranked up to 10. They sound great clean too. This makes the soloist a super versatile guitar. The Floyd Rose bridge is great and keeps the guitar in tune even after multiple dive bombs. I typically like more knobs on a guitar, as I usually associate more knobs with more control, but despite having only master tone and volume knobs, you still get a lot of control over your sound.
In all, it's a sick guitar, not just for hard rock and metal, but for pretty much any genre you can think of, with solid hardware and electronics as well as a great feel and eye catching looks.

Well worth the money

Comments about Jackson Pro Soloist - SL2Q MAH Electric Guitar:

I worked at a music store for 12 years and worked on over 12K guitars over that time. I was looking for a nice rock/ metal guitar to add to my bunch. I just bought a PRS Custom 24 not too long ago and love it. On a less serious note I wanted a nice Strat style Floyd Rose guitar since I sold a few of mine way back. I must say I had doubts about if I would like the guitar or not. Well it did not come tuned or set up or anything. I did what needed to be done and have been playing it everyday since I got it and it is an awesome value for sure. The neck and the fret job on it are absolutely fantastic. Sound is great and the finish is also excellent. The only thing is the frets need to be polished to eliminate the fret noise. Other than that I give it a 10. Great choice for anyone not wanting to spend a few grand on an American made.

Comments about Jackson Pro Soloist - SL2Q MAH Electric Guitar:

I liked this guitar so much I bought another of the same model in a different color. I'm a new player and I like an easy to fret guitar. All of my Jackson's do that. I have 12 guitars and any of my three Jackson's are so easy to play and sound just beautiful. I play every day two times each session which is about four hours a day. Love em all.....but partial to my Jackson's.
