NEW REVIEW - Ibanez V70CE Acoustic-Electric Guitar

I purchased the Ibanez V70CE Acoustic-Electric Guitar for a great price and the guitar was delivered quickly. The Guitar was translucent blue and was exactly what my daughter wanted for her birthday. She is delighted with it. I talked with friends who are experienced guitar players and they all agree this was a great deal and this is an excellent beginners guitar. We are very happy with out purchase.

Great for the Money

I was asked to recommend a cheap guitar for a friend to get her boyfriend for christmas, so I went to GC and played all the guitars there from $300 down. Personally, I play a high quality Martin, and have been playing and performing for several years. I was shocked first of all by the low quality of many of the guitars there (Fender, yamaha comes to mind) for similar, and even higher, price ranges. When I picked up this Ibanez, I was shocked at how good it sounded for the price range. The volume is very balanced across the scale of the guitar, it is very playable, the tone is nice and bright, but has a solid, clear low end. Tone quality of this guitar is several times better than the fender of the same price. The workmanship is very professional. I plugged it into an acoustic amp while I was there and played several different styles from bluegrass to grateful dead to stairway to heaven to test it. The electronics are of high enough quality to accurately reproduce the sound of this guitar. (They might not get a martin to sound right, though.) 2 band eq is sufficient for most circumstances. I gave the ratings I did not because it will stand up to a Taylor or Martin, but because for the price range you won't find a better sounding acoustic, and if you did, it wouldn't have electronics. I highly recommend it as a cheap guitar. If you can spend more, check out a Taylor 110CE or a Martin DM.

AMAZING VALUE

I purchased this guitar because of all the positive reviews. When I started to play it I could immediately see why. The action and sound is just as good if not better than some $500 guitars that I've played. The strings start to vibrate when you play very hard but other than that this is the best acoustic guitar i've ever owned and I would recommend it to any intermediate player.

Great For Beginners

I recently purchased the Ibanez V70CEBK and I absolutely love this guitar. I showed it to a friend who has been playing for ten years and he was envious. I just started to play and i tried two guitars before finding this treasure. The playability of this guitar is excellent for its price range as is the rest of the features (mahogany back and sides, rosewood fretboard and bridge). The black gloss finish just adds the look of dominance to the guitar.

Fantastic guitar.. the electronics are perfected, neck is just the right size to slide up and down without thinking about anything other than the emotion you're playing for the audience, and stays in tune for a long time. Wish there were more acoustics like these around.
