The Gretsch G6134TGQM-59 limited-edition Quilt Classic Penguin electric guitar is a sophisticated rendition of the original Penguin model, combining lavish esthetics with period-accurate features. The stunning quilted maple top immediately catches the eye with its distinctive figuring. Under the hood, this rare bird comes alive thanks to custom TV Jones Ray Butts pickups that produce the iconic Gretsch sound. The addition of a Bigsby B3GB vibrato tailpiece allows expressive pitch control for your solos and embellishments. With a comfortable chambered mahogany body and set mahogany neck topped with an easy-playing ebony fingerboard, the Penguin plays as good as it looks. The Gretsch G6134TGQM-59 comes protected in a deluxe Gretsch hardshell case, making transport safe and secure.

Comfortable Feel With Chambered Mahogany Body

The Gretsch G6134TGQM-59 Penguin features a chambered mahogany body capped with a maple top. The chambered construction minimizes weight while retaining resonance and sustain. Mahogany contributes a blend of warmth, punch and articulation. Combined with the arched top, the Penguin's body feels comfortable against your own. The slimmer depth at the forearm and belly cutouts allow your playing to flow freely. Whether practicing for hours or performing all night, you'll appreciate how comfortably the Penguin's body fits you.

Stunning Quilted Maple Top Brings Visual Appeal

You'll be captivated by the eye-catching quilted maple top on the Gretsch G6134TGQM-59. The distinctive figuring in the maple immediately draws your attention. Combined with the classic Penguin double-cutaway body shape, gold hardware and pearloid Neo-Classic inlays, the Gretsch G6134TGQM-59 Penguin has visual flair reminiscent of the golden age of electric guitars. Whether performing on stage or creating in the studio, the stunning aesthetics of this Gretsch will inspire you.

Custom TV Jones Pickups Produce Authentic Gretsch Tone

The Gretsch G6134TGQM-59 Penguin gets its distinctive voice from a pair of custom TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter'Tron pickups. The bridge pickup provides clear, articulate tone with plenty of twang and presence. Switch to the neck pickup for a smooth, round sound perfect for jazz and blues. With a simple flip of the 3-way toggle switch, you can blend both pickups together. The pickups faithfully reproduce the sought-after tone Gretsch guitars are revered for. You'll delight in the classic sounds as you pick and strum.

Bigsby B3GB Vibrato Tailpiece Adds Expressive Control

A Bigsby B3GB vibrato tailpiece is mounted on the Gretsch Penguin, providing pitch control for expressive playing. The smooth action of the Bigsby lets you add vibrato, chorus-like effects and swooping dips to your notes and chords. Whether emulating the signature sound of classic rockabilly or adding a touch of movement to a jazz standard, the Bigsby expands your creative options. The rock-solid tuning stability ensures chords ring true even when using the vibrato effect.
