Gretsch® Instrument Limited Lifetime Warranty
FMIC warrants your Gretsch brand instrument to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for as long as it is owned by the original retail purchaser, except that pickups, switches, jacks, controls, all other electronic components, tuning machines, hardware, pickguards, plated surfaces, gig bags, cases and case hardware are warranted for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. This warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser when this instrument is purchased from an Authorized Gretsch Dealer and is subject to the limitations set forth herein. IMPORTANT: PLEASE RETAIN YOUR ORIGINAL SALES RECEIPT, AS IT IS YOUR PROOF OF PURCHASE VALIDATING THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
FMIC has established a network of independent Authorized Service Centers for warranty service. The Gretsch Dealer from whom you purchased your instrument may also be authorized for warranty service and should be the first point of contact when service of any kind is required for your Gretsch instrument. To receive warranty service, return the complete instrument to an Authorized Service Center, with your sales receipt as proof of purchase, during the applicable warranty period. Defective components that qualify for coverage under this warranty will be repaired or replaced (at FMIC's discretion) without charge. Remedies beyond normal service repair of any Gretsch instrument require both an evaluation and confirmation of the defect and a direct recommendation to FMIC from an Authorized Service Center for alternative considerations.
All transportation, insurance and freight charges associated with warranty service and repairs on Gretsch instruments are the responsibility of the purchaser, as is any service initiated for the purpose of customizing setups or adjustments beyond factory specifications. Initial standard setup and adjustment of the instrument and its components at the time of purchase are considered normal Dealer product preparation, and are not covered by this warranty.

Picked up this guitar about 2 months ago and had the chance to use at rehearsals and gigs. It is truly an amazing guitar, especially for the price. It captures rockabilly and punk VERY well...which should not be a surprise, but also nice for straight ahead rock. The 11 gauge strings took some getting used to, but I have grown to love them -- such big fat tone (and stays in tune better too). If looking for long sustain, this is not your guitar. However, if looking for a guitar that you can hear every note when playing lead, this is it! The only challenge for me was getting used to the floating bridge (which are on most expensive hollow bodies). It works great and makes intonation easy, but if you bounce around a lot on stage the bridge will move, throwing the whole thing out of tune. I am going to try the double-sided tape trick to pin it down. In short, I am very happy. The guitar is truly great, amazing tone, easy to play, looks great, and you'll never find another hollow body this good for this price.
I was really pleased with the quality of this guitar. The body neck and binding are basically flawless - just beautiful. I don't know how they do it for the price. For example, the frets are beautifully dressed, much better than most, even better than some more expensive Gretsch models.
The pickups don't buck any hum, and are funky - I love 'em; the guitar sounds great.
My only complaint are the tuners - they work, but are notchy and cheap. They hold tune OK, even with moderate use of the Bigsby, but they are a pain to tune. They would be very inconvenient on-stage. I plan to hunt for an upgrade that requires little/no modification to the headstock.
That's a minor complaint given the price and quality of the guitar. If your looking for a nicely priced archtop, this model is a real contender.
Bought my Gretsch G5120 in 2008 and after playing it for about a year, decided to change the pickups to GFS Retrotron Memphis. Huge improvement on an already really nice guitar, and still keeping it all very much on a budget. The GFS pickups fixed the bottom end, which tended to be a bit boomie, and just made the whole thing sound really good, and so jangly. Just raise the new pups to their highest position, closest to the strings. Beatles, Harrison, Petty, Wilburys, rockabilly, even U2 (with pedals) or B.B. King, anything you would want a Gretsch for, this thing will cover at much less than a grand; enough said.
