The redesigned 2017 J-45 Custom offers supreme build materials and classic tonewood combinations. The select Sitka spruce top is bound in a multi-ply binding package, which includes a very distinctive Herringbone top trim. The sound hole also includes a multi-ply rosette highlighted with a beautiful abalone, ring for a truly custom feel. The slim taper neck profile on the mahogany neck is sleek and incredibly comfortable allowing you to play anywhere on the neck with ease. The peghead is bound and hand-inlaid with mother-of-pearl block Gibson logo and abalone crown inlay. The dense Richlite fingerboard is also marked with stunning abalone position markers. Gibson chose select rosewood for this J-45 Custom model, known for its rich, full sound and enhanced bass tonal qualities. Gibson’s famous Vintage Sunburst top finish is detailed with a firestripe teardrop-shaped pickguard.

The 2017 J-45 Custom is finished with classic Gibson appointments, gold Grover tuners, superior Tusq nut and saddle, Richlite bridge and fingerboard with abalone inlay, and an L.R. Baggs VTC pickup system, delivering the true tonal character of your Gibson Acoustic. This special guitar is designed and handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana.
