The 2017 Explorer T delivers raw power, scorching tones, and extreme sustain, all wrapped in an iconic design that's as rebellious as rock itself. And beneath the Explorer's aggression and brute sonic force lie the subtler qualities that make a Gibson such a special guitar: superb playing comfort, extreme speed and the confidence of utmost quality. Crafted in the image of the original radical Explorer body style, using select solid mahogany, and loaded with two of Gibson's fierce high-gain humbuckers and top-quality hardware, the Explorer T is truly a piece of rock weaponry that can do it all. The guitar is delivered in a classic Gibson hardshell case with a Gibson multi-tool, a premium leather strap and a polishing cloth.

Comments about Gibson 2017 Explorer T Electric Guitar:

I tried an Explorer for the first time a few months ago and realized that I wanted one. I got myself a used one from Guitar Center (bought from a store in NC) and it was in real bad shape so returned it.

I decided to get a brand new one, got a great 15% coupon and ordered it.

I got myself a beautiful guitar, amazing woodgrain, sustain and sound but with one defect that killed and otherwise magnificent guitar: they went overboard with rolling the edges on frets 1 and 2 and the high E string literally landed on the fret bevel.

I cannot understand a) How you ruin a guitar by overlooking the process to round the edges; b) How Gibson would ship such guitar and c) Why Guitar Center doesn't inspect what they sell before selling it.

This just creates extra costs and frustration all over the place.

Comments about Gibson 2017 Explorer T Electric Guitar:

I'm usually a Les Paul player, but I was intrigued when I took one of these off the rack and played it for the first time. I was very impressed by it's slick action, comfortable neck, tone and sustain. Not to mention it looks super cool! It has quickly become my favorite guitar, and I may get another one just because they're so awesome. Long live the explorer!
