Overview

The SG Faded 2016 HP is the supercharged counterpart of the traditional SG Faded. It boasts an extraordinary set of premium, high-performance features while maintaining the rugged looks that are the Faded series’ signature, including a new and exclusive fast-access heel, developed specifically for the Gibson USA High Performance lineup, to allow unprecedented access to the high notes - which combined with the new soloist neck width, provides the fastest and most comfortable SG neck you’ve ever played.

Titanium metal for the saddles and the adjustable zero-fret nut delivers a bright, crisp tone, while being virtually indestructible and ensuring total, personalized control over the action. The SG Faded arrives protected by a high-performance gig bag, and already set up by expert luthiers for immediate playability. Includes gig bag.

Comments about Gibson 2016 SG Faded HP Electric Guitar:

Must say, the worn brown finish is absolutely beautiful, but...
Small details to quality were not there.
two of the knobs were defective, although GC gave me a new set.
Was a small flaw on the wood where the neck meets the body.
Worse thing was the G-force tuner. Thought I would give it a try. Darn thing drove me crazy in one sitting.
Guitar would not stay in tune (after properly stretching/ break in strings), and when it says it was, it did not check to correct tune with normal snark tuner. Always was sharp 1/16 pitch. Play for 5 minuets and some strings go flat. chased my tail for a couple hours.
I traded it in for the SG worn brown standard.

Comments about Gibson 2016 SG Faded HP Electric Guitar:

The setup was great on this guitar. The action and tonality spot-on. But the best part of all is the G-Force tuner. The tuner makes it a snap to go to alternate tunings, and then back to standard tuning in a few seconds. The more I use it the better the tuning gets (quicker). The tuner is a bit complex but if you take a while to read the manual and play around you will be rewarded, this was a great idea Gibson had.
The finish and sound are very nice. This is a guitar I am proud to own.
