As rare a limited edition as you™ll find, this SJ-200 Gallery Edition is a showpiece of handcrafted artisanship and design. This gallery edition features abalone inlay and accents throughout including the headstock, fretboard, pickguard, bridge, rosette and top. The solid, three-piece flame maple back with rosewood center is trimmed with three-rope marquetry. Includes L.R. Baggs Element VTC for when you need to plug in but don't want to lose the accuracy of your tone.

The Gibson SJ-200 has been known as the King of the Flattops since 1937. A featured acoustic over the years exhibiting a versatility like no other, in the hands of iconic artists as diverse as Jimmy Hendrix, Pete Townsend, George Harrison, Keith Richards, Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Little Jimmy Dickens, Emmy Lou Harris, Reverend Gary Davis, and Bob Dylan. It would probably be easier to write down who hasn't performed and recorded with a Gibson SJ-200.

Handmade by Gibson's famous luthiers in Bozeman, Montana, this very special SJ-200 Gallery Edition changes things up on the regular SJ-200 by including a 3-piece back made of solid flamed maple, rosewood, and flamed maple, Abalone body trim and inlays, with Gold Imperial tuners. As always, Gibson Acoustic Guitars will not cut corners. Still a part of every Gibson Acoustic are a traditional compound dovetail neck joint bonded to the body with old world hide glue, and a very light hand-applied antique natural nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Only 15 units exist for all of North America. It comes with a plush-lined Gibson hardshell case and a limited lifetime warranty.
