Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton, Larry Carlton, Alex Lifeson, Dave Grohl, Peter Frampton, Keith Richards, George Harrison, BB King, Warren Haynes, Rich Robinson, Pete Townsend, Tommy Tedesco, Mitch Holder, Duane Allman, Otis Rush, Eric Johnson, Alvin Lee, Roy Orbinson, Freddie King, Lee Ritenour, almost every great LA session player, it might be easier to figure out which iconic electric guitarist has not made the Gibson ES-335 a part of their musical weaponry.

The 1960s Gibson Memphis ES-335 is available for a limited time only, this special guitar features all of the specs as produced in 1958 including a maple/poplar/maple body supported by Adirondack spruce bracing attached to the top with tone-enhancing hide glue. A '60s Slim Taper genuine mahogany neck nestles into the mortise-and-tenon pocket within .002 tolerance for maximum end to end resonance and added sustain.

A 1.675" bone nut sits atop the 12" radius string benders dream rosewood fingerboard, with 22 perfectly trued medium jumbo Pleked frets among the 24.75" scale length. Finish the fingerboard off with the early '60s small block inlays that replicate the originals not only in dimension, but also in the pearloid celluloid material used to create the inlays. Tuning is accurate and consistent thanks to the Milk Bottle Grover Rotomatic tuning machines. Sustain and intonation accuracy is enhanced via the upgraded Tone Pro AVR-2 bridge.

Gibson Burstbucker 1 and a matched Burstbucker 2 Humbucking pickups are voiced through four perfectly hand-matched pots and adjusted via unbalanced tone monster Orange Drop capacitors and the in-demand Memphis Tone Circuit. Gibson Burstbucker pickups faithfully recreate the original 1957 Gibson Humbucking pickup down to the unmatched bobbin coils, and rough-edged Alnico II magnets replicating as much as possible the original Gibson PAF.

The visual beauty of Gibson Memphis Sixties Cherry nitrocellulose lacquer finish is unmistakable visually, but old world lacquer also enhances tone production and matures with age. A labor intensive finish not found on many modern guitars any more, but featured on every Gibson stringed instrument. This Gibson Limited Edition comes with a Gibson Hardshell Case and Gibson's Limited Lifetime Warranty.
