collapse expand iconDescription

A very unique piece in Gibson limited edition series offerings, the Hummingbird Recording Artist is a hybrid of the best squareshoulder models with a narrow ˜60s-style neck for rich tonal range and easy playability.

Gibson produced a handful of these unique models at the beginning of the century attracting artists and collectors. Those who are introduced to the Recording Artist covet them. The warm tone produced by the solid flamed koa in this limited run compliments the natural beauty of this highly-prized tonewood. As the name suggests, it is equipped with an L.R. Baggs Element VTC pickup for stage performance or studio recording.

Dovetail neck-to-body joint, hand-fitted and secured with hide glue ensures unequalled resonance transfer from strings to body
Radiused body for projection and clarity
Nitrocellulose lacquer finish allows the tone to mature with age
100% American made, handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana
