Excelent for drop tunings

By rito13

from Sacramento, CA

Comments about GHS H3045 Heavy Gauge Bass Boomers Bass Strings:

The heavier gauge of these GHS strings make it possible to achieve drop tunings with out fret buzz. I am currently playing with a metal band and I tune to drop-d and drop-c tunings and these strings hold tune with minimal fret buzz.

I bought these strings and I'm very happy about them. They have very good tone and are great for playing in a band. I've had them for a while and they still sound as good as ever. They are a Very good choice for someone looking for a good set of strings.

I have been using GHS for 10 years and am still impressed

By Lord Nocturnus

from Stockbridge,MI

Comments about GHS H3045 Heavy Gauge Bass Boomers Bass Strings:

GHS are the greatest strings ever made and they are the only ones that make the gauge i like. I tried Ernie Ball Hybrid slinky strings and absolutely hated em I tried standard rotosound strings and hated em i slapped on the heavy gauge GHS strings and i never looked back. I recommend these strings to everyone whether you play country, jazz, hip hop, or blues these strings are great.

Perfect for My New Instrument

By Highpockets

from North Carolina, USA

Comments about GHS H3045 Heavy Gauge Bass Boomers Bass Strings:

I recently purchased a new Fender '51 Reissue P Bass. Upon beginning to use it, I noticed that the factory installed strings had a terrible ring to them, even with the tone turned down fully. I did some research about bass strings on the web and decided to try a set of GHS Heavy Boomers. The difference was wonderful. Having always been a Jazz Bass player, I now have a '51 P Bass I also really enjoy thanks to a set of GHS Heavy Boomers. Many Thanks to GHS for a great product!

Comments about GHS H3045 Heavy Gauge Bass Boomers Bass Strings:

I love these strings !!! Heavy E string and G string sounds fuller ..... Solid sound !!! Maybe a little rougher on fingers...but I will take the discomfort for great Tone !!! The E string was barely long enough....wrapped to low....hits bridge. Might just be a 1 time thing though. Still sounds great though.....

Not Bad

By Blake Kibby

from Camarillo, CA

Comments about GHS H3045 Heavy Gauge Bass Boomers Bass Strings:

I bought these strings because they were the heaviest gauge I could find. I tuned them down to Drop-A and had a blast. Then I noticed that my 4th string was sitting ON the nut instead of in the groove, and I decided to buy smaller strings that were the proper size. I didn't get to play with them for long, but I can't complain. They weren't particularly easy on the fingers, but mine aren't any worse than before I bought these strings.
