Easy to Play and Thick Too

For me, these strings offer the best of both worlds. The lighter gauge G,B and E strings offer a slightly thicker sound than your average lights (9's). But also offer great bending options. This medium gauge is then paired with heavy E,A,D strings that provide a nice taught string that sustains forever and sounds very rich. I prefer heavier gauge strings all around, since I tend to use a very heavy grip. These strings allow for thicker chorded sounds but also easier soloing for many players than 11's and up do.

I love these strings. (GHS TNTs)

I have used these strings for years and I love them. When stringing your guitar, tune to D because if you tune to standard E, the high E will snap (I know from experience). These are great for everything: jamming, shows, and recording.
