  • Great violin for the price

    No issues, sounds great. Violin is well made. Have a small problem with the latch that holds the bow. Broke off since it's very thin, minor though. Main concern was the instrument. Would buy again.

  • Good violin for the price

    When I ordered this violin I was a little skeptical because I wanted to get something worth the money. The violin is a bit dark colored in area from the finger board to the center of the bridge (its a little too dark for my taste). To be honestly the 1st day I got it I didn't really like it. Although, I wanted something lighter colored on the wood the violin overall is not that bad. I did change the strings it came with to "Red Label" violin strings. My violin instructor said that for the price it's a pretty good violin. My instructor said that darker wood on violins give it a darker tone ( low, deep tone) and lighter woods give it a lighter (sweeter) tone. I will consider this in the next 2-3 years when I upgrade to a better violin. CONS: The only downfall is that he had to keep tuning it every 5-10 minutes after practicing a couple of notes. For the price it's a pretty good violin, it's cheaper than having to rent an instrument.
