You'll want the Fender Solid Shaft Potentiometer if your pot's noisy or nonfunctional. Replace it with the official 250K factory part.
I used these on a used 1998 P-Bass I just bought where someone used low-grade replacement pots. The quality of these pots is far above that of average audio-taper pots you would find at the local electronics shop. The tone pot's range is a perfect gradual taper from treble-cut to full-range. The feel of the pot when you turn the knob is very smooth.
