NEW REVIEW - Pretty Good
A really great package for a beginner looking for versatility. The guitar sounds good through most amps, though the trem will screw up your tuning after one dive. Overall, the guitar is easy to play and stays in tune for a good amount of time. The amp is extremely easy to use. I was able to set everyhting up and start playing on the first day. However, the distorted amp models are a little weak, but no big problems with the amp, except feedback at high volume levels. The rest of the package is the basic stuff you'd expect. Overall, a great package for a beginner looking for a sweet sounding, easy to use setup, without spendin a ton a $$$

Really Great Package
I started taking lessons a month ago using an acoustic guitar. Decided to get a "beginners" electric guitar package and opted for this guitar, in blue, mainly for the G-Dec amp.
The guitar quality is excellent and the amp has a wide range of effects which really is fun to use. The only minus is the strap is only so-so. Otherwise it's a great package. Practiced 2 hours straight today. Couldn't put it down.

It's a beautiful get started package
I absolutely love this electric guitar package! It's the best birthday present I've ever gotten. I got the metalic blue, and it's beautiful. When I play this guitar I feel like a star. No matter what I play, everything rings out like a pro was doing it. I could practice for hours and hours on this baby. Every spare moment I have I find myself picking it back up and playing a tune. I've played many different hand-me-down guitars, but this is the first one that feels right in my hands. I don't have any complaints about this Squier Affinity Strat HSS and it's made with the same pride which Fender puts into all of their guitars. I've checked it out all over and even though this is an inexpensive series for the beginner, it's still built like a tank-And the G-DEC amp that comes with it is amazing too. I'm having a blast with the different amp types. I haven't went through every possible configuration yet, but so far I haven't found any faults-Now the gig bag and strap is good enough to use for now, but later I'm going to get a personalized hard case and strap. Every player wants to use their own touch, You know?-In summary, if you want a good practice Fender Strat package, this is the one to get, no question about it!
