  • wow!!! this is an awesome guitar!

As reviewed by Rich B on 10/13/2010

I have a squier strat and this mim strat is a huge step up in quality materials and sound. There is little to no noise from the pickups and the neck feels smooth and extremely playable. I have had many types of guitars and we all have our favorite types, but this one to me can play all styles of music and seems the best one for me to try to solo on as well. hope this helps some one out, but you really need to get to a store and play one yourself.

  • true fender quality!

I have had many guitars in my life, and this is at the top of the charts in my opinion. It looks like fender has started making their Mexican strats with premium material. This is definitely the best mim strat I have ever owned. It has a glossy coated neck and fretboard and my fingers speed across the maple fretboard naturally. I have had many guitars from epiphone, to bc rich, to squier, and the ol' ibanez. This is definitely better than my other guitars. The pickups hav barely any extra noise from the amp. It has solid black body of alder and white pups and knobs that make this look almost exactly like David gilmour's guitar. If you like pink floyd, you'll love this guitar mimicking their sound. Great tone, great quality, and great craftsmanship. I rate it a ten for the price.

  • Awwww yeeeeeah!!!!

Walked into Guitar Center, shopping for a new electric $500 or less. Played many in the process of 3 months, including other less-impressive Standard Stratocasters. As I almost left one day, this one caught my eye and as I played it, I knew I found my next guitar. The high gloss finish on top of this maple neck lets my fingers fly with ease. All three pickups sound AWESOME, expecially the bridge pup, which I use alot for distortion. The tremolo system's great, but obviously dives with it detunes it a bit. And obviously because of it's apperance, the first thing I played when I brought it home was? Pink Floyd. In the end, it's probably the awesomest axe for the price.
