The Custom Deluxe series of instruments continue to be the platform to feature some of the most rare and exotic woods. AA bird's-eye maple is used for the neck and Fender uses hand-selected quilted maple for the top. The body is made of ash and the LTD features a bent top at the arm contour. The pickups are another unique feature for this year with a TV Jones Filter'Tron in a special bridge, and the popular Twisted Tele neck pickup.
