  • Awesome Amp

As reviewed by Greg on 8/8/2014

I always wanted a decent amount of wattage at a low price and tried this one out at Guitar Center and it is sounded and still sounds great. The clean channel is exceptional and the other channel has so many effects and mods. The foot switch to change between channels is very handy. This is such a great sounding solid state that I don't even want want to think about tube amps again. I only wish it had a built in tuner like my little fender mustang practice amp. You can't beat the sound and power at this price.

  • A great amp!

As reviewed by Aaron on 6/5/2014

I just purchased this amp a few weeks ago and I am absolutely loving it! This is my third Fender amp I own now simply because you can't go wrong with this brand. Good amount of built in effects and if you are using pedals they sound wonderful. This thing gets LOUD too. I don't have to go much over 5 on the volume when playing over my friends drums. If you want a good amp for jamming alone in your house or being used for smaller gigs then I would definitely check this amp out!

  • Great tone, lots of options!

As reviewed by Charles on 12/9/2014

I love, love, love this amp! I particularly like the awesome clean tone of the last Blackface setting, with a tad bit of breakup, and the second tweed setting with that raunchy growling overdrive. I don't use the first channel much, can't dial back the mids! But I love the second with all the amp models and 3 band EQ. The onboard fx are pretty decent but there's also an fx loop if you want to add something. 2x10 speakers certainly give a nice full sound. The amp get's pretty loud but sounds really good at lower volumes as well. I like how all the controls are on the front and there's no digital displays. It looks like a vintage Fender! Unlike other emulation amps finding good tone is simple! The only thing I really wish they would have done different is make each amp setting remember the last fx setting so that every amp setting could have a different effect as you switch through the amps. I tried out a lot of amps at GC and I can honestly say that I haven't found another amp at this price point that sounds so good! I even sold a popular tube amp that cost twice as much just so I could get all the different tones. I really prefer the Tweed distortion over the more modern high gain distortion that's so popular. It sounds more gritty to me and I can hear each string more clearly. A whole lot of bang for your buck!
