Just alright
Over the years, Fender has been known for making quality guitar related products. Sadly to say, the Fender California Cables is not one of their best works. At first, the price seems great, and they don't mess with the sound any, however things go downhill from there. On mine, after a minor tug, the cable would start to cut randomly in and out. No big deal, I thought, my other cords do this, just unscrew the cap and push the cable back into the plug and it will be ok. Unfortunately, it was not that simple, since Fender decided to instead use solder joints to connect the core of the cable to the plug connectors, and those solder joints broke. Meant that I had to take it apart, cut away the plastic shrink wrap, and try to use my soldering iron to fix the connection. Not something you want to be doing all the time, if you're rough on your cables like I am. If you don't expect to be doing much with them, then these cables would be ok, otherwise, I'd look elsewhere.

Alright cable
I have a six foot one to attach my fx to the amp, and there is nothing wrong with tone/feedback, but, like most cheap cables, after a while, it starts to break. But as long as you bend it back it is fine. I would suggeswt it especially since buying a cable isn't a huge decision or anything.

Good Cable
I've had one of the 10 foot cables for about a little longer than a year, and haven't had any problems with it yet. The only feedback I get is by turning the treble all the way up on my amp ( but that isn't the cable's fault). It's a good cable, but I wish they had bigger one's, like a 30 foot.

Not impressed
I picked up the California cable for my Strat and was not happy with the cable. I could never get a good sounding connection. I Picked up another brand cable and everything was fine. The cable looks nice but I wasn't happy with it. For the price you can give it a try.

good inexpensive cables
I bought these cables a little while back, and they are still toughing it out today. I don't play shows or anything, but they work great in my room with my bass, and that's all I need them for. The sound is good, and the price is right. I reccoment them to anyone that is a casual guitar/bass player.
