This Fishman undersaddle piezo pickup effectively generates the resonance and complexity of a full-bodied acoustic within the familiar platform of the Telecaster. The incorporation of a rosewood bridge, a chambered body, and Twisted Tele neck pickup result in an incredibly versatile Telecaster!

This is an amazing guitar, but not for everyone. The electric sound is great. The acoustic sound is great, (keeping in mind that you're comparing it's acoustic sound to that of an acoustic/electric plugged in, NOT miked up, because nothing holds up to an acoustic miked up), however you really have to have a good acoustic amp to make this thing shine. Any of the fender acoustasonic amps, (go figure), work really well with the acoustic sound. Don't expect to just plug this guitar into your regular electric amp and get that sweet acoustic sound, not going to happen. You need two separate amps and LOTS of 9volt batteries on hand. Plan to have a new 9volt for each gig, because when this thing kicks the 9volt, it just goes and it will take you a couple minutes to recover. If you're an electric player that relies on pickup switching to achieve different sounds, don't get this guitar. You get one electric pickup and that's it. I'm a rhythm guitarist with the occasional lead and absolutely love the darn thing, but at the end of the day this is a rhythm guitarist's guitar. To really make this thing shine use two amps and both pickups at once. It's lovely. I can't get enough of it. It has an amazing sound, but you have to tweak it. If it was lost stolen or smashed I would buy a new one the very next minute. If you switch back and forth between acoustic and electric or use one of those awful acoustic simulators half of your set, get this guitar. But be warned, it plays like an acoustic more than an electric.
This guitar is a great idea, but does not deliver. The tone for both the electric and acoustic sounds are mediocre at best. It's made in Mexico but with a $1000 price tag, but does not have American pickups or wiring. The neck feels cheap and plastic. I put it up against 3 other telecasters (American Deluxe, American, Mexican) and it performed the poorest every time. The one thing it does have going for it is that it looks nice. I waited for a month for this guitar to get here and when it did I was very disappointed. The acoustic side wasn't bad but sounded like the typical hybrid guitar, not very authentic at all. And the tele neck pickup lacks immense amount of presence and tone quality. Overall... you can tell this guitar is made in Mexico, cheap parts and mediocre tone. It lacks American quality, dynamic, and playability. Sorry if I busted your bubble, I feel your pain.
If you've ever wanted to jump back and forth from acoustic to electric, this is the guitar for you. The tele lipstick pickup in the neck gives you that awesome, undenyable tele tone, but the pieze bridge really make this guitar shine. Plug this thing in to two different amps, people do a double take because they hear two different guitar, but really its just one. As for Mexican made, well, my primary axe is a mexican made, and it holds its water to the American counter parts.
