Product Information

Deceptively simple.

A fabric bridge links the head of the Evans Mini EMAD Tom and Snare Dampener with an inert metal counter hoop. Attached by Velcro dots to both head and rim, the Mini EMAD dampener controls overtones by controlling head vibration while producing a focused, unchoked tone.

The worst ever

I got these thinking that they would be great and I would get the sound I wanted. But they ouldn't stay on. So after a while i decided that they are not worth the money. And took them off. And replaced them with duct tape. (Which doesn't pop off)

Awesome product, best i've seen!

If you're looking for something that can dampen your drums in many ways, this would be it. These dampeners are so versatile, it's hard not to get the dampening effect that you want. They're not permanent, so you can take them off temporarily, and you can also put one on both top and bottom heads for maximum dampening. So far, this is one of the best dampening products I've ever come across.

Perfect for elimating that annoying ring

I just bought the ocdp x-series snare, all the reviews on it said it was awesome besides the excessively sustained ring it had. So i picked up the min-emad with it and after messing around with it in a few different configurations I got the ring to go away nearly completely! I love it! it doesn't take away from the warmth and tone of the drum at all. I will definately be buying two more of these for my floor toms by the way, it comes in small medium and large, I have the medium.

Best Choice

These things really are perfect for any style or sound. You can adjust them to get different tones which is a plus. You don't need to pay expensive money for other dampeners, these are as high quality as any other ones. Plus they are very easy to set up and adjust.

Snare dampener only

i bought the set of min-emads which came with 2 smalls, 2 medium, and 2 large min-emads. i bought the set because i already had one on my snare drum when i bought it and it really got rid of the ring. but when i put it on my rack toms (8, 10, and 12''), they made the toms sound terrible. and they dont do much for the floor toms either. i had to put 2 min-emads on the batter and reso heads and i also put a ring dampener on it, in order to stop the ringing. and the worst part is that they dont stay on! i'm going to try moongel next, and get rid of the min-emads.
