This guitar is great. It has all the capibilities and sound of way more expensive guitars. Theyll seem way overpriced once you play this. Great hot esp/emp passive pickups that in my opinion are just as good if not better than the actives when played thru a quality amp. the actives are just louder in a way to me that i dont need anyways, the passives are too much sometimes if anything when in full coil mode. the floyd rose is good if u just set it and leave it alone, bc i hear a thousand complaints about it and its probly bc people wont quit messing and adjusting it. it works fine with no problems if u know what ur doing. and this thing is nice and solid and plays great. i love the single coil option when playing clean. great professional overall package for a player that wants professional specs and is ready to get more serious about playing and dosent want to spend thousands. ive played all the high dollar esp's and jacksons and so on, and they dont sound any better than this one if as good sometimes. it should be priced several hundred more if u ask me but this is really a steal if u ask anybody who knows guitars and has played this one.

I owned this guitar for about a week before shipping it back to musicians friend. The g string would not lock, causing me much anger. I don't know how easy it would be for a professional to fix, but i tried fixing it and it didn't work. The paint scrapes off of the floyd rose really easily also. The humbuckers are not good at all, i suggest you would put real EMGs in it rather than ESP's crap ones that they put the emg name on. I had the black finish, and in certain lights it would look purple. The guitar is average weight, and it feels nice. The tremolo is non-recessed, which sucks. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't mind taking a risk of getting a bad product and having to replace the humbuckers after you realize they are crap. Also, a good thing is that it has a coil tap. It doesn't get that nice of clean tones on single or humbucking pickup mode, but i guess it is decent.

great guitar, for beginner and advanced guitarists.
Bought mine second hand from a guy, he equiped it with EMG 81&85, with these on it, its a AMAZING guitar. Only have to tune it once a 2 weeks or something, tone settings are awesome, flamed top rocks, and the neck is as smooth as hell!!
The neck-through is quite nice, and feels really solid, although I have a Fender strat as well here. It weighs way much more. I think the weight of this guitar could be a lil more
For the value with the EMG's i think its more then awesome, would be worth much much more.
overall an incredible acoustic sound which is something you NEED before buying, sure people THINK you're paying a bit extra and all guitars sound the same but once its set up right, perfectly in tune and the right string brand and gauge on it this guitar pretty much plays itself , its worth the money and more, this and my ex-250 I owned mid 2010 are amazing guitars for their price.
For me I like to keep it simple, you get a low profile floyd rose , some passive EMG pickups which I love actually with the right setting on say a Line 6 pod this can do anything. You get basic controls volume , a useless tone knob but it pulls up for coil tap making it seem like two guitars. This is my 15th guitar I've bought so I'm very picky.. what you'll get is an honest review I wish I was paid for.
Once you get the hang of this floyd rose its not bad, comparing it to an original floyd rose there's small difference and owning this for more than a week doing a set up and making the strings tune the opposite way as I like to reach over and turn left.
the neck feels amazing and the fretwork is flawless, it goes on par with my high end BC Rich Beast which is 2 or 3 times as much money depending on where you live and where you got it. This thing stays in tune forever, I haven't owned the guitar long but based on experience when I was buffing out some scratches and scraping off super glue from the previous owner being an idiot and this guitar stayed in tune perfectly.
since its used heavily toured with I'm SURE I'm the only one having to use a flat head screw driver to unlock the nut and saddles to restring. the only thing I would improve on this guitar is make the cutaway (i think the term is) deeper... as in you can slide to the 18th fret but other than that its extra effort.
come on, its neckthrough , its got emgs passive or not they're awesome.. sure its got a korean made floyd rose special and ESP tuners but you can't go wrong with this. I love the sound plus the flamed maple top makes it stand out, did I mention the neck is like glass. Low end epiphones don't feel half this nice.
the only thing is I would have loved to have this guitar in transparent black or green as I currently own two other red guitars.
I bought this guitar and it was awesome, until I tried to change a string. I loosened the clamp at the nut and loosened the string and everything was good. Then when I tried to loosen the clamp that holds the string in place at the bridge, it wouldn't. I had to pull the string out and it looked stripped when I pulled it out so I took the thing off the see if I could try to fix it (that was probably a mistake but the string wouldn't go in). I couldn't see a problem so I tried to put it back on, and the screw stripped. Now I have no way to put the string back on. Other then the problem I had with the string, this is an awesome guitar (I had the Ibanez practice guitar before this so I couldn't get much worse). It has a nice neck the pickups are decent. Just be careful when you try to change a string on the licensed Floyd Rose.
First...Remember, reviews from people who say "I just got this guitar last week!" and "Bought it yesterday" or "Had this thing a month!" shouldn't count for your decision. Why bother with a review that reflects nothing more than the "shock value" of someone getting a new toy.ALSO: This site should BAN reviews from the "I played this thing once" and "I looked it up on google" and "my friend has one" people.LTD M-200FM. There's a boat load of models from LTD, I'm thinking the "M" is their reversed headstock line. I've owned mine for about a year and a half now. I bought it from a local shop used, and it was about a month old. Great playing guitar, good action, smooth transitions. Most guitarists will love playing your M-200. The EMG passive pick ups sound very nice. Soon as I plugged it in I could tell it had great tone and ability to play nearly any genre. The downside to this guitar is it's bridge. For some reason, it doesn't stay in tune much. The lowest string can be tuned, then if you bend it, it goes back out...But only once...then it's fine for a while. Licensed F R bridge just doesn't cut it, not in my opinion. The guitar is plenty good to gig with. Most people say to use a back up, which is a great idea. I've gigged with this guitar about 10 times..without a back up. Other than the tuning situation, I had no complaints. My MH-1000 will be here next week (ordered from this site) and the M-200 will become my lower tuned guitar. Overall, the guitar is a great playing instrument. Might be able to do better in it's price range...But it certainly wouldn't be easy.
im kinda of a beginner, ive been playin for about 4 months now but all i can say about this guitar is...WOW!!!. this guitar plays sooo smooth and and i think the pickups are great. i got the see through black and the finish is sweet. i play it through i peavy vypyr and they are a killer combo, i play mostly heavy metal, hard rock and stuff like that and i love to palm mute and this is awesome for that. i HIGHLY recomend you buy this guitar b/c you WILL NOT find a better deal for a guitar like this
I was looking for a new guitar to add to my collection a while back and layed my eyes on this in a local music shop. I was optomistic at first cause i had heard good and bad stories about ESP LTD guitars. I plugged it in into a small Vox practice amp. The sound blew me away. I immediatly placed an order for a brand new one (in see through black of course:). When it came in the mail I was expecting a major set up job in the future, but to my suprise the guitar came set up pretty nicely. The coil tapping is a cool feature but as for the "Floyed Rose" not so much. it works just fine but there are some wierd rattles and scratching. Overall the guitar is great. Sure there are better ESP's out there but for the price I highly recomend this guitar.
First, cheers to esp. I've been playing for 6 years and i've owned and ibanez, sg, les paul (both gibson), and played several others. And, esp is the best in the bis! When you buy esp's your buying great quailty , and this guitar is no exception. The pick ups were alittle hot and out of balance for me, but blackouts fixed that. And for the body, the neck through design is amazing, MONSTER amount of gain, especailly for being being a floating bridge. The bridge is nice too, i can dive bomb for ever and still stays in tune. Beautiful guitar, can shred, sweep, and tap for hours with no problems.
i bought this guitar anout a month ago and i love my teacher told me it was a great guitar and it sounds great. the features are amazing the coil tapping works really well and allows you to get a screaming distortion the humbuckers are also amazing. i tuned this guitar once when i got and only make minor adjustments every week or so and i use the whammy bar alot. It sounds great, stays in tune, and has great features i would reccomend this guitar to any player
I bought this guitar because i was after the kirk hammett sound without all the bucks. JUST SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DONT BUY THIS JUNK. I'm being honest, when i picked up the guitar in the store plugged into a line 6 then a fender, it was magic. Then when i went home a string broke. undid the locking nut. The nut broke. Sent it back 2 TIMES!! Same things happened. If you want a nice guitar with a floyd, go for a Dean, B.C Rich, Schecter, or Ibanez. BECAUSE THEY WORK.
I'm not going to write a long review so you can get an idea of what you will get with this guitar withouth blowing your eyes out. My 2nd guitar ( upgraded from a Strat copy :D) Great hardwares Decent Floyd Rose Special ( ESP brand) Great ESP pickups The thinnest neck I've ever tried (remember this is my opi.) Get it
