I played this axe in the GC at Sunset, and the moment I started chugging my riffs, this thing blew me away. How much more metal can there be in this guitar?! (I plugged this in a Line 6 Spider valve 112) There are people out there who just hate on this guitar because it has an ESP pup and a Lic. FR. Those are all bad reviews because trust me, if this guitar is set up correctly, it doesn't even matter whether it's Lic. or Org. FR. Pros: - Decent price - Good feel - Great sound Cons: - The ESP pup is somewhat limited. An upgrade to a Duncan Blackout is a good investment. - Some people dislike Lic. FR. - No locking tuners.

What a Deal!

By Kelly Condon

from Danville, California

I was able to get this bad boy used for half the price. This thing lives, breathes, and speaks metal all over the place. The stock pickup is pretty powerful on its own, but I recommend and upgrade to Seymour Duncan or EMG. The neck is super fast, my fingers almost flew off. The floyd rose could use and adjustment, but it won't get in the way of your playing. Fabulous metal guitar. It's aggressiveness will never cease to surprise you.

One of the Best Metal Guitars out there!

By Jacob Huggins

from New Hampshire

This guitar is absolutely amazing. The neck is crazy fast, and the pickup is astonishing for a stock pickup. The Floyd stays in tune pretty well and the body is very comfortable. I've tried all other types of metal guitars: Jackson, Ibanez, and Dean, but the ESP guitars are the undisputed champs. Although it has 1 pickup, it can handle the rhythm, lead, and solos all very well. No down side to buying this guitar, I mean it. The thing that really makes the ESP guitars stand out is the coat of wax they put on it. I have a Dean and the coat of wax lasted about 2 years of heavily playing it. The ESP I've been playing for 3 years and you can still feel the coat. Don't waste your time buying other metal guitar brands, or before you do just have a play on this one,and I guarantee you'll want it more. So go out and get one! ESP's are and will always be the best.

Alonso Suarez...

By alonso suarez

To start off great design...light weight, perfect weight distribiution...allthough it is just a floyd rose special...it keeps the guitar in tune extremely well while u do ur alexi style squeels ,dive bombs etc in low tuning like drop C, D. the neck is amazing better than any other guitar in this price range and even other higher price ranges like many of diamond series from shecter of bc rich etc. The pickup wasnt the best...I changed it for a EMG 81 and tottally rewired it and also instaled a tone nob with this its just tottally heavy and amazin ...I would sayt overall u could not get a better guitar for this much money it is just a overall amazing guitar specially if u wanna play COBHC .

Ok

By Brandon

from Manassas, Va

Great design, great tuners, very reliable, but I just don't like the pickup. Its great if you want to sound like Alexi, but if you play it in any other tuning besides dropped C (like lets say dropped A# or D), its crunch sounds like a duck. I got the pickup changed for an active EMG 81 and it sounds WAY better.

This guitar blows me away!!!

By Cullen

from houma, la

I bought this guitar nearly a year ago, and i have to say, this has got to be one of the best purchases i have ever made. I went to GC one day to find a new guitar(which i desperately needed), and everything i found wasn't what i was looking for. As soon as i laid my eyes on this beauty, i fell in love with it. i plugged into a line six mkII and it was just breathe taking at the power this thing has. right now i am playing through a 20 watt raven with a digitech rp90 effects pedal with this guitar, and the limits of tone, there are none. from Eruption(EVH) to as soft as you can imagine, this guitar can do it. if anyone can help me find a cheap way for a 15-year-old to get a line six mkII 212, please help me.

Awesome Metal guitar!!!!

By Cory Williams

from WA

This is an awesome guitar! it feel like a jackson guitar but only better. The body feels more comfortable than the jackson and the neck have much more speed to it. I even played Lamb of God, Ozzy and all kind of different metal on that guitar and it blew me completly away. After 5 years of playing guitar, it one of the best guitars I've ever play and to me it beat all the guitars I've tried. But it up to you if you want the other type of guitars as dean and stuff I respect you. If you get that guitar or ohter series of the same modile you won't regret it unless you dont like V guitars, I respect you
