The Dunlop trigger capo is great! The way it looks, and the way it plays. The trigger capo is probably the best looking capo out there, beating the Kyser capo. Also you can change it really fast when you need it for a song. You can change it in a pause of song, where you reach over squeeze the handle, and put it to wherever you want. Its really fast action and easy.

Trigger style seems more natural, but you find that it really isn't. Feels like it takes more to open enough to clear the strings until you have it positioned. Nothing about this capo feels cheap. It's good and sturdy. It's a fair price... but it's hard to judge the value of something not comfortable to use. It works "fine" I guess, but the top bar is far too wide. If you position your capo correctly you'll constantly rub your hand against it and sometimes not be able to play the chord you want. The pad is too beveled to position correctly without the top bar hanging into the next fret far enough that it hits your hand. I'm going to file the front side back and see if that helps. Overall I won't buy another and am already using my Kyser again. It's better all around.

Greta for 6 string not great for 12 string

By christopher bower

from Scurry, Texas

If you're trying to use this on a 12 string it's takes a while to get it centered on the neck and it really never covers the entire neck properly. Either the high E or low E will sound muted. I went to guitar center looking to purchase the Kyser brand capo for 12 string but the Guitar center in Mesquite did not have it in stock. I bought the Dunlop because the package said it worked for both 12 and 6 string guitars. I should have just waited and ordered the Kyser on line.

Great design but doesn't clamp as hard as the competition

By Todd Butler

from Raytown, MO

Great design, easy to handle, great price, and cool look. Should clamp tighter than the competition. I would buy another though. 4/5

The Best Affordable Capo!

By ERIC CAMPBELL

from Santa Clarita, CA

I love Triggers! This is my 3rd one specifically purchased in the nickle finish for my Gretsch Tennessee Rose. There's none better or more practical in this price range!

Works Well (But Buzzes As Well)

By Basketgurly13

from not telling

It was odd when i got to the store and looked around for a capo...but thats another story. This Capo does it's part on changing the chords' sound but also gets it's fair share of work on buzzing. Maybe its just me, but the buzzing drives me nuts! But all in all a buzzing capo is better than no capo.

Great product!

By AcousticFan500

from Laredo, Texas

It's amazing! It's really easy to change it, you can do it in a matter of seconds and with one hand. I'd buy this instead of the Kyser capo, it's a lot better looking anyway. The only sort of downside I see is that it sort of bends the notes on my electric. Not on my acoustic, though. It's annoying, but for stage (although I don't play live) it's probably the best except because you can do it with one hand and it doesn't even require that much force. I really love the way it looks, I think that's the way capos should look, I find others like the Kyser absolutely hideous, but not my Dunlop Trigger Capo. I recommend it to anyone. I've had it for around 8 months, but I think it won't really wear down for a while. Also, it doesn't damage your guitar at all (like the rolling capo. Oh god. That one's horrible on wider necks). Buy this if you can, it's worth it. It's cheap, too.

Great capo, good price

By Punk Player

from Tacoma, WA

I bought this capo because I lost my old one. I use it on my Fender Time Armstrong Hellcat acoustic as well as my electric,a Schecter C-1 E/A Diamond series. The shape is perfect for any guitar neck. My only complaint is that the black pads leave residue on my maple neck.

This capo is working out well for me. I was looking for something to use that was not so expensive, fast and not bulky... this is a good buy!
