Comments about Dunlop Gel Guitar Picks:

I like the Gel Picks because they don't click on the strings, just sound of guitar not pick sound.

      Sounds beautiful

      By

      from San Jose

Comments about Dunlop Gel Guitar Picks:

I like the sound, both for clean and saturated settings. When I play weak, that sounds very glassy and beautiful. When I play strong, that sounds more usual with some brilliant overtones. Don't trust the direct sound, not coming from the amp. We should only depends on the sound from the amp. The direct sound from this pick might be considered as cheap or toyish. I play stratocaster for jazz. That is maybe not that common. But, I believe this pick sounds good for many guitars and genres. I saw some reviewers saying that this pick is slippery. But that is not true for me. My fingers stick well on the surface of the pick. I can hold the pick much better than stubby picks with gritty surface. I think that is quite dependent on your fingers like how much sweaty or oily. You should try yourself. I am writing this for Dunlop not to make a wrong decision on discontinuing the pick. If we like a product, we should post a positive review to support the providers. If we dislike a product, we might write a review to relieve the bad feeling.

Comments about Dunlop Gel Guitar Picks:

My dad bought me the blue ones and they're great! He got me 3 packages of picks and these are the ones I use the most, they look great and sound awesome, they don't slip from my fingers and they're comfortable. I can't see any problems with them, it was a great buy, if I ever my picks I'll buy these ones again.

      Tough little buggers

      By

      from Lexington, Ky

Comments about Dunlop Gel Guitar Picks:

These little guys dont look like much, but trust me, these are some of the greatest picks I have ever played. I use the Red Hard, and the Black Extra Hard picks, and neither have let me down. The Reds are rediculously durable, over the years I have washed them, dropped them in a metal fan on high (dont ask me how), scraped them along the strings so hard that it broke a string, and none of it slowed these little guys down. The only time I had to buy them was when I lost the first set. I've found them in corners of my house where theyve been for months, and somehow still play well. As for their sound, the reds are excellent hard Rock picks. They have hard hitting, crisp, and extremely aggressive attack. If you love AC/DC, Black Sabbath, or anything like that you will love them. As for the blacks, they are perfect for heavy metal. They have literally NO give, no bending whatsoever. They allow tapping and have the same hard hitting tone as their red kin, however it is a bit bassier, which I guess works better for metal. All in all excellent picks! deffinitely worth a try

      Gotta Get'm!!!

      By

      from Joshua, TX

Comments about Dunlop Gel Guitar Picks:

I bought these picks after a friend told me about them and reading a review about them. So far these picks haven't done me wrong. They aren't slick like some of my fender picks and are extremely flexable. They also give your guitar an amazing sound so I highly recommended them to beginners. Overall these are cool picks!!!

      Fav picks so far!

      By

      from Undisclosed

Comments about Dunlop Gel Guitar Picks:

Had this picks for quite a while and so far, their awesome!Ive tried many others and these picks had a brighter tone, nice grip, and makes it great for tremolo/alternate picking.I own the Hard and Extra Hard types of these picks and I simply love them, except for me,I prefer the Red(Hard) version than the Yellow(X.hard) version as I feel that the yellow one gives me slight a problem in picking and that it gives slightly a bassier sound,it is due to the thickness.Overall cool though.I love the colours and the cool Jim Dunlop logo on it too. These little guys rock!!!

      Wonderful Picks!

      By

      from CA

Comments about Dunlop Gel Guitar Picks:

I have used this picks for quite a while and they have never let me down. These little guys won't let you down either. It makes a rich tone for every down strum or upstrum you make. Great for picking also. They seem pretty durable, and for me, they haven't broke or been bent like many of the other picks I've tried. Overall, one of the best picks out there.
