  • For those who love their Axes

    This product is excellent for maintaining your axe's fretboard. I have been using the product for over a year on two guitars, one electric and the other acoustic. It only takes a little to get excellent results. The only other prduct you may need is some 00-grade steel wool. The cleaner and prep removes the dead skin and other foreign objects from the board. the conditioner makes the fretboard snine like new. In fact it looks so good you either hate to play on it or can't wait to show it off. This product is worth every penny and I HIGHLY reccomend it.

    It pretty much does its job. The "6524 Fingerboard Cleaner and Prep" is a mixture of alcohol and something else, hence its smell and ability to evaporate quickly. If you're low on cash you can probably dilute some rubbing alcohol with water. The 6532 Deep Conditioner Oil is the most valuable thing to me in this package. It has a fuzzy applier tip, so you can invert the bottle and apply directly to the fretboard. I gave the product 4 stars because I think Dunlop should've included 0000 steel wool to be used with the 6524 Prep -- help get off any gunk on the fretboard without scratching the wood. They already have a fret polisher and a cotton cloth for the oil.

    I have a Gibson with a mahogany fret board and bridge. The bridge started to fade a tiny bit. I put both products on and it looks amazing and better than when I received the guitar brand new! It makes the wood dark and rich with color. It comes with everything you need and it doesn't smell at all. I did use a Q-tip with the first step to get in the tiny parts when the applicator built in to the bottle wouldn't reach. I will never use anything else on my Gibson Acoustic or my Fender Electric. (:
