The Dean ML Modifier 8-String Electric Guitar takes a classic Dean guitar shape and adds 2 bottom strings to it. The ML8 is tuned F# B E A D G B E. To help these low-pitched notes resonate, the neck scale-length is extended an inch to 26-1/2" and the ebony fretboard is a bit wider at the nut to facilitate fingering at 54mm (2-1/8"). The set mahogany "Slim D-Shaped" neck is glued to an all-mahogany body and top for maximum resonance and sustain. Special EMG 808 pickups capture every nuance of the full range of notes possible on this guitar. Deluxe hardware appointments include Grover tuners and a tune-o-matic bridge.
