Give the lil guy a try!
I'm a blues guitarist, play lots of outdoor shows but also smaller clubs. I play a '57 and '61 Strats and I was looking for a small light weight but good sounding amp for the small gigs. I tried the Tech 21 Trademark 30, nice but it had a weird, out of phase sound that you can't get away from. Almost like a wah pedal cranked half way open. Looked at videos of the DV Lil Jazz, and ordered from GC. With 45 watts and 8" speaker, it's all I need. Light weight, but very full, fat sound. The low impedance line out is good if need more volume thru PA. I use a DigItech fx pedal for different sounds and textures and it sounds great! Some amps don't like pedals; this one does. In bigger shows I use Fender tube amps, but the DV Mark Lil Jazz is my "go to: amp for small shows and jams. It is extremely well built, takes up little space, looks good, and just 18 pounds. I highly recommend you give it a try.

When it fails…
Nice sound and great size. The downside is reliability. I had two of these fail. The first within 3 weeks of purchase. The replacement failed after less than three years. The good news it takes less than 30 minutes to convert a dead LJ to a decent 8" cab.

Impressive sound with a surprise

I took it to a small room jazz bass gig to show the guitar player. Just for fun, during a break, I plugged in my bass. Sounded good, so I used it the entire second set. The band commented on how nice it sounded and how easy it was to hear. I guess I just found my new small gig bass amp. Oh, and it sounds great with guitar, too.
Great little jazz guitar amp!

I'm an Older Archtop Jazz player. At this stage, quality of sound is still #1, but portability is close 2nd. DV faithfully reproduces my Archtop's GREAT ,Woody Jazz Sound, at 10' square and under 20 lbs size.. Has Pro extras like Direct Out, Ground Lift, Can mute speaker. Plenty of power. Price point WELL UNDER boutique amps that I would be afraid to take out. While darker jazz sound is preferred, it would be nice to have a little more mid/highs in case I would want want/need them for a tune now and then-which is only reason I did not give 5 stars.
Sound quality exceeded my expectations.

I needed an amp that would record well and that I could use for practice sessions and leave powered for long periods without worrying tubes and also an amp that I could move comfortably from tele to archtop to acoustic without switching amps. As it turns out, this is a great acoustic guitar amp too. I haven't used pedals with it yet so can't comment on that aspect.

I love this little amp. I own a few tube amps and wanted something easy and robust to move around and travel with. This amp is perfect for that- just plugin your guitar and let it rip. I didn't get a chance to use it live, but I'm sure it can easily hold up in a small club jazz setting. I would highly recommend this.
