Save Your Money

By Dan

from Reno

Bought to display humidity in a new hard-shell case holding a 1930s Martin. Worked for a couple weeks, then quit. Exchanged it for another. Worked for a couple weeks, then quit. Bought a fresh battery and still working a month later. Accuracy probably within 10% of a higher cost Accurite humidity/temperature sensor. I guess that's probably good enough when aiming for a 45% to 55% humidity level. I wish I had purchased something else.

nice clock

By Salvadore Sangiovanni

from Syracuse, New York

This is a waste of time and money. $40 plus tax and here it is at $30 the same day. It has been right next to a humidifier that is set to MAX for the past 10 hours. The room is 8' by 10'. This thing fluctuates between "LOW" and 24%. Simply does not work. I'll get a better one at K-Mart tomorrow for half the price. There's not a single positive review here for this overpriced and inoperative unit but GC continues to take money from people for this. Stay classy GC.

not buying again, get a violin hygrometer

By Dan Fowler

from Sanford, NC

bad,Bad,BAD! Purchased new 6 months ago to go with the Taylor. Battery life is horrible, a battery every 3 weeks to a month. The contacts don't make battery connection, had to bend the - contact outward til I thought it might break to contact the battery and make it work when I bought it. Put a violin hygrometer in the case and there are 10-15% differences of opinion between the two. When I run out of batteries, this thing is gone. DO NOT BUY!

This sensor is a total waste of money. It has no accuracy and no consistency.

Horrible Product

By Kurt

from Milwaukee, WI

I was looking for a humidity sensor I could use in my case, as well as, in the room itself. This unit is basically non-functional. Neither the temperature nor the humidity sensors work within any acceptable margin. I found the temperature to be off by as much 15 degrees and the humidity sensor barely registered even after being put in a stream of steam. The unit is completely useless. I just purchased it and will be retuning it tomorrow. Do not waste your money on this horrible product.
