I'd been looking into different strap locking systems for my multiple guitars, but there's always a few problems in the back of my mind. This strap takes care of all of them. For one, button straps can be stressful to install when they come with bigger screws that could wreck the body if you're not careful. With multiple guitars, you need one system for each guitar you have, which can add up. Not to mention the strap that you can only use on strap lock systems. This sweet little strap needs no installation, and after you buy one you need nothing else. The only way you'll drop your guitar with this strap is if your pins fall out. Fairly simple to use, I would recommend this strap to everyone. My one complain, however, is style choices. I love the black satin, but I would never use any other style available. Am I the only one that things flames are incredibly cliche? Good designs for a 12-year-old, but not much else in my opinion.

This strap does what it was designed to do... Having said that... the design is somewhat short sighted in it's application. I sometimes wonder if manufacturers actually try out of their product before they put them on the market. I originally set out to purchase a set of strap locks when I ran across this. At the time I thought it was a simple answer to my need. The first time I used it I released it had a design flaw. The nature of the designed wouldn't allow the guitar to hang naturally, but the flat area surrounding the locking mechanism caused the guitar to hang at an angle. Also the flat area put pressure against the guitar, resulting in it rubbing against the finish. I could see that it wouldn't be long before it would ware the finish off. I realize that guitars are meant to be played, so some ware and tear is to be expected. It's one thing if I scratch and dent it... but it's a completely different matter if a product I've purchased causes the damage.

Comments about D'Addario Planet Waves 2" PLANET LOCK Strap:

Great product! I would recommend it to anyone. The strap attaches easily and stays completely securely attached, but it is also very easily unattached. It is fully adjustable through a generous range, the material is high quality, and it is as comfortable as it is functional.

Comments about D'Addario Planet Waves 2" PLANET LOCK Strap:

I love mine and it's very secure. I use it with the face against the guitar on buttons that are on the back of the neck joint. It helps the guitar to hang in a natural position. The only problem is trying to release the lock when it's on backwards like this. It's just a little awkward. Maybe a lock release on both sides would help.

Comments about D'Addario Planet Waves 2" PLANET LOCK Strap:

I have an Epiphone guitar and this strap works really well. It is a wide strap that is very comfortable and provides the stability that I need. It folds up very well to put in my Epiphone gig bag without any problems.

Comments about D'Addario Planet Waves 2" PLANET LOCK Strap:

I bought the stars/stripes version and I really like it. The only disappointment is, it doesn't fit the ?"jack/button on my Epi Hummingbird. That was the main reason that I bought it.

      decent enough strap

      By jeff cook

      from Florida

Comments about D'Addario Planet Waves 2" PLANET LOCK Strap:

Purchased this strap to see how it compares to regular strap locks (which you have to buy complete sets even though you only need one set for your strap and multiple sets for your guitars...). Good quality both in the strap itself and the locking mechanism (you hold the side button in to rotate the gear teeth to loosen the strap). Fits easily and very well to an Epiphone Les Paul Standard PT. Only thing is, I have the strap let out to its maximum length and it is still a smidgen shirt. I prefer the guitar to hang a little lower than this strap allows. A check on their website reveals that there is only one length. You should try before you buy, especially if you have a looooong torso.
