Absolutely amazing strings for the price.

I've been playing guitar for nearly 20 years now and have tried many different strings and gauges, and I have found myself always coming back to D'Addarios. My tastes have varied and changed over the years and as I've matured I've found that I like to play more classic pentatonic rock riffs. The 8s really lend itself well to that style of play because of the strings' high bending ability. It takes absolutely no effort to bend your note up a whole step or more and even less for a simple vibrato. And as long as you don't play with a coin like Brian May your not going to break a string. One thing I was first concerned about before trying the 8s out was if the light strings would go out of tune after a crazy bend. My main guitar at the moment is an Ibanez ARX300 - all stock, and after putting on the strings and wearing them down a bit to stay in tune (this did take a bit longer), the strings surprisingly stay in tune no matter how far or how often I bend the strings. Very satisfied with these. Customer for life.

I like the strings. I wish that they had .007's. But I do like the .008's.

  • Would buy again.

It says Electric on the pkg, and I would like to know if I can use these on an Acoustic Electric? I have really bad areas on my hands and fingers that crack and such, and I need the easiest to play strings I can get. Either that, or, I just give up and quit trying to enjoy what little play I do get on my Guitar. A Really Close friend that plays with several little groups in Katy and Houston said for me to get the extra Super Light, D'Addario strings so thats why I am asking since they say for Electric on the Pkg ?

These are electric strings. The lightest D'Addario for acoustics are the EJ10. I would suggest never giving up and you may want to consider switching to a nylon string acoustic electric as they are friendlier on fingers and hands.
