  • Amazing quality of product, for a steal!

As reviewed by Jered Roberts on 9/10/2012

I had been interested in picking up the ukelele for about six months but hadn't really gotten a chance to take it seriously until recently, so that's when the research began. I saw plenty of beautiful ukes in this price range, but none that were acoustic/electric. The most important thing I learned from many review videos and ukelele websites was to go to a store and put your hands on one before you bought it. Boy was I glad I went to Guitar Center first! Some of the other models I was interested in held tuning terribly (yes I know the strings need time to stretch and all that) but after a few strum sessions with each uke, they sounded awful and needed retuning. I settled on this model after I laid my hands on it and heard its beautiful sound. I rarely have to re-tune it even after playing it all day. The mahogany has a much more unique and pleasing sound over some Koa models and the satin finish is to die for. The only thing I didn't care for was the tuning keys which look a little plastic-like up close, but a very minor drawback and can be swapped out if you really wanted. One detail not apparent until you hold one of these babies is the hand laid wood pattern around the hole and on the bridge. I first thought it was like many cheaper ukes, and that it was a sticker, or plastic inlay, but was very impressed with that little detail. I'm a guitar player and found the tenor size much more comfortable and pleasing versus a soprano. Concert sizes play well too, but there wasn't much of a selection at that store. Preamp is extremely powerful and has a very full sound when plugged in. Anyone who plays this ukelele will be more than pleased, for sure. I got this baby for a steal at a labor day sale, but would've gladly payed the list price or the online price for it.

  • Great Ukulele

As reviewed by Bill Connel on 9/19/2013

Bought this ukulele after a long research on Ukuleles. Went to Guitar Center and looked some more. I love this Ukulele for the looks and the sounds. I'm new to playing the ukulele and this is awesome for the price and sound. I have enjoyed the last week playing and learning the Uk. I' m no music genius and playing this is easy.

  • Gone a little UKE CRAZY!!

As reviewed by Bradley Anderson on 11/3/2012

I got inspired earlier this summer after hearing some ukulele music. Purchased my Lanikai Concert uke a few months ago and love it. The sound is great, it looks wonderful and friends giggle a lot when I play. Then I had to hear a tenor, fell in love with that sound and being a little larger it is easier to play (tall guy, big hands). I never played a string instrument before this summer, boy am I hooked! The cordoba 20TM-CE is priced right for a beginner such as myself. I'm not expert although I have ear for music, it is well crafted and impressive to play. Plugged in to an amp is even better. Highly recommended!!! Oh yeah order a case and stand and one is still under $300.00 Happy Strumming!
