The Chauvet SlimPART Pro Tri uses the latest in tri-color LEDs to deliver a uniform output. Eighteen tri-color (RGB) LEDs power the fixture. The color is mixed before the lens, which limits any undesirable effects of multicolored shadows, which also allows the unit to serve admirably as front light.

I really like this light because they are very bright and covers more area. Also, the power plugin in the back of it is great because it actually snaps into the light. The only thing that I really didn't like about this light is that is only does a 3 channel or 9 channel mix. I have slimpar 64 led lights and they work with a 3 or 7 channel dmx board. so these two light don't work hand in hand.
I work in a high school, and we had maxed out our available lighting and dimmer racks. I picked up a few of these to supplement our current set up. They work well as front light, and kick off a surprising amount of light. The programmed dimming curves help make them dim graduallly, instead of the normal jump you get from LED's at lower intensities. The "white" light that they produce is a little blue (since they are RGB) but it's easily correctable with a little bit of gel when I need them to match our other lights. Worth the price. I have 6 and will be picking up some more soon.
