It is not a mystery as to why Marshall 1960B 4x12 cabinets have more bottom end than every other cabinet on the market. It is because they come loaded with four Celestion G12T-75's. If you are a Rock'n'Roll / Hard Rock rhythm guitar player in a two guitar band, this is the only speaker for you. These speakers have the tightest bottom end, great crunch, and cut through the mix perfectly on chords. For chug riffs and palm mutes there is no equal. This is the speaker I have used the most in 30 years of Rock. If Vintage 30's are too shrill, and don't have the tight bottom end you want, try these speakers.
The G12T-75 is my favorite speaker for 4x12 cabinets. It has much later breakup than the Celestion Vintage 30, and tighter bass too. When playing clean there is a nice presence on the top end, well balanced bass, and very defined mids. When playing distorted you get a terrific midrange crunch that really cuts on stage. Single notes are very well defined, yet they have a lovely warmth to them. This is great for fast lead runs and arpeggios. These speakers never get shrill like some of the other brands & models out there. Also, I've found that the G12T-75 can hold up well to many years of high volume use.
Really disappointed with this speaker. Made in China, and it sounds like it. Where is the British quality Celestion tries to sell. Worked for about 2 weeks of road travel, then cones started to pop and crackle. Look for something else other than this speaker.
