Fantastic!! Best Distortion ever played!

A lot of people here writes that it's overrated and Ds-1 is much better... I think it's not true...If you need a nice, warm and big sound this pedal is definitely for you. I play The Red Hot Chili Peppers and it's perfect but if you want to play something more crunchy and metal i think it wouldn't be a good choice. With my Fender Stratocaster 62'reissue+(even with this amp)Marshall MG15CDR sounds fantastic and if you want to have a break you don't have to disconnect everything because even without any noise suppressor there's no noise. It's a big plus. Buy it!!

Only good for one tone

I only use this because I am obsessed with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It is great for nailing John Frusciante's distortion because he actually uses the pedal. Only one of the remote settings sounds good. But I can't complain because what little it offers is really awesome. If you arent obsessed with nailing John Frusciante's tone, don't bother with this one.

Awesome for solos!

This pedal was the best distortion ive ever bought. With an expression pedal, this thing kicks BUTT for my solos! It has everything from a grungy type tone, to blues, to close to metal (with the right eq....). I highly recommend this pedal to everyone!

Good Pedal

When I first took this out of the box and plugged it in I hated this pedal. I dedided to hold on to it for a week and give myself time further mess around with it. A month later I can quickly and easily find any type of distortion I am looking for. It is also easy to get an overdrive like sound that is very useful. The reason I rated it 3.5 for features and value is because the remote 2 distortion sounds horrible on this thing. I cant figure out why they included this feature. But that doesnt take anything away from the fact that the remote one setting is awsome and it is easy to get AC/DC distortion or SRV overdrive like distortion.

If I only had an MK2 i'd love this thing

This is a really nice sounding pedal. I usually go to rehearse with a simple rig, my Jackson DK2 Pro and a compressor, i usually use the distortion coming from any amp. It came a day we changed spaces to a new rehearsing room that had really cool stuff, incluiding a Marshall MK-2 from the late 70s. Problem is it had no gain control, and would crank up just to a bluesy overdrive, so the guy from the place lent me this nice pedal and man, i was blown away, really vintage tone, very transparent sounding. Great for playing classic heavy rock - metal. My only complaint is that it is not very responsive to pinch harmonics (which I love doing). just one thing to add: BUY IT!
