Boosey and Hawkes

Written in the Dorian mode, and using only the white notes of the piano keyboard, each of this poem's two verses is sung by the choir in unison and then repested in two-part harmony. The piano part is simple enough to be performed by a young player. The music evokes the quiet solitude of the winter scene described in the poetry.
