Novation

collapse expand iconDescription

Novation's Summit is a professional 16-voice polyphonic synthesizer aimed at keyboardists and producers seeking an inspiring instrument for both live performance and studio work. This flagship synth combines Novation's esteemed analog expertise with innovative digital technology, including three New Oxford oscillators per voice and a hybrid signal path. The result is an unparalleled range of rich, nuanced tones to shape however you desire. Summit's multitimbral engine can split, layer or seamlessly switch between two patches, each with its own arpeggiator and effects.

Shape Your Sound With a Powerful Wavetable Editor

Summit's wavetable oscillators unlock a world of sonic possibilities through the free Wavetable Editor software. Use intuitive drawing tools to design your own waveforms and see them in action with Live Edit mode. Import your own audio clips or choose from an expertly curated NASA sound library and Noisia artist presets. The Wavetable Editor makes Summit endlessly inspiring and provides an unrivaled level of sound design control.

Express Yourself With a Premium Keybed

Summit's 5-octave semi-weighted keyboard with aftertouch lets you inject humanity into your playing. Translate subtle gestures and dynamics into sound with precision and nuance. The keybed's premium build quality and responsive, balanced action keeps you focused on creativity rather than mechanics. Play two independent patches at once or seamlessly switch between them using keyboard zones or the patch select buttons.

Shape Your Tone With Analog Warmth

While Summit leverages cutting-edge digital technology, its heart remains analog. Each of the 16 voices features dual analog filters, analog VCAs and three stages of analog distortion for shaping raw waveforms into lush, vibrant sounds. A variety of filter types including ladder, diode and new Sallen-Key 2-pole designs provide a range of low-pass, high-pass, band-pass and notch filtering options. Drive the filters and distortion stages for aggressive, overdriven tones or leave them clean for pristine digital clarity.

Perform and Produce Without Limits

On stage or in the studio, Summit delivers. Use the audio input to process external signals with Summit's reverb, chorus and delay effects. Create complex modulated sounds with assignable LFOs, envelopes and a 16-step arpeggiator on each part. USB and 5-pin MIDI facilitate syncing with DAWs and hardware. A premium gig bag keeps Summit safe on the road while its lightweight, ergonomic design minimizes fatigue during extended use. For keyboardists and producers seeking an advanced, inspiring polysynth, Summit stands alone.
