Pretty much the best portable amp for less than 70 dollars

I tried the small fenders, marshals, oranges... And to be honest, this sounds extremely good, and dare I say it, better sounding than many solid state amps that go for around $150-$200. It has a variety of effects, which is something really great since not many mini-amps offer this. From many mini-amps like this, you expect something with just a volume knob and a gain, you don't expect it to sound great but you expect something to sound fairly decent. When I can't crank my Hot Rod deluxe, I use this little guy... I give it 5 stars because it's something that really surpasses your expectations, remember that this is a 3w amp that you can carry with you and still it sounds loud and good.

Very disappointing for Clean guitar use

I bought this compact amp for use with my Godin electo-acoustic nylon string guitar, and my Fender Strat for use when I travel on holidays. The size was perfect for a suitcase. However, I found my Fly amp terribly underpowered on the Volume-only channel, requiring my guitar to be pulled up to max pickup Volume. The amp was weak sounding, without fidelity, and required increasing the Gain, which just ruined the acoustic tone. It seems that the designers only had one thing in mind: overdriven electric guitar style. If that's all you want this amp to do, its great. But clean loud guitar is not what this amp can do.

    Perfect speaker to take with you wherever u want, laying down playing on bed, parks, I think it's very beginner friendly too :) also if you have a small living space this perfect!! doesn't take up a lot space I use it as decor sometimes lol. Since it's small it's not super powerful so don't have high expectations for performance wise.

    There might not be very many effects, but this thing is powerful and can do a lot! I would recommend this for anyone, from like Kirk Hammet to a person who just started. In my opinion, the best part is the overdrive button. Forget about the Ibanez TS-2, this is equally the same. You should get this.

    Product description says "built in rechargeable lithium battery with 20 hrs of use on a single charge". However this unit takes 6 AA batteries not included. No idea about the sound quality, haven't tried it yet. Called the store and they were beyond useless ! Said it was probably a misprint! I highly doubt they will change it either, just scam more people .

    I live in a tiny apartment so my main amp has to stay up on a shelf to optimize space. I got so sick of lugging it up and down that I finally bought this tiny one. Works so well for my daily practice and songwriting needs - super easy to bring on trips too.
