The ID:CORE Stereo 10 is a 2x5W ultimate entry-level guitar amplifier. Incredible tone and flexibility is accessed by a simple and intuitive control set and delivered in super wide stereo to give an immersive playing experience that will have you hooked on playing guitar.

ID:CORE represents the culmination of more than seven years' technical Research and Development. These amps have an intuitive control set like a traditional amp, but have the versatility of programmability. The unique controls allow you, the guitarist, to custom design your own sound. The Voice control has six different settings - Clean Warm, Clean Bright, Crunch, Super Crunch, OD 1, OD 2. When used together with Blackstar's patented ISF control you can get the exact tone you're thinking of. The effects section delivers studio quality modulation, delay and reverb effects simultaneously that you can store with your sound.

Deep editing and storing of patches is simple using the Blackstar INSIDER software. Patches can be shared, uploaded and downloaded via the online community. The USB connector also allows you to record from your amp directly to your computer. An emulated output and MP3/line input complete the package. By using the unique Voice control and the patented ISF, ID:CORE Series amplifiers allow unparalleled flexibility and ease of use, enabling you to design the sound in your head and deliver it at home, in the studio or in rehearsal.

Great little amp!

While we have a lot of amps around the house I wanted something my son could move from room to room and we had been eyeing these for months. On sale last week we picked one up and have been having a blast ever since! It's light and sounds amazing. The warm clean channel sound amazing for the size with a little reverb and modulation on it. We haven't even plugged in the USB yet as we have been too busy just playing with it. We have larger modeling amps, some older Fender tube amps and I my primary is a Blackstar HT 40 now... will these little speakers sound like a 12" or will it sound like an old tube amp? No, of course not, but they sound pretty darn good and the adjustments are easy to make, so easy it's the first amp my 7 year old has really "played" with the settings to get different sounds. We have both had fun plugging our phones in to play with music streamed from different sources. I took it on the back porch to drive the neighbors a little nuts over the weekend. It's portable, sounds good, gets pretty loud and is easy to use. Excellent value! It's worth noting that one review gave it a negative rating because it didn't take pedals well... this isn't an amp to add pedals. You have multiple distortions, reverb, delay and modulation built in... that's why you purchase a small modeling amp, so you don't have to use pedals. Another reviewer noted he didn't like it because it faded in an out on the OD channels and assumed it was broken. It wasn't... the OD 1 and OD 2 channels have a built in "noise gate" to keep the hum down. If you aren't use to using one it can be a little bothersome. I don't know if this can be turned off in the software but we like it. It's not present on the other channels.

Nice sound, but...

Nice sound, but...the amp would cut / drop sound after a few seconds on the OD channel and then cut back on the other channels worked fine. The sound is very nice but I could not live with the defect be it software or with the physical amp it self. I even updated the firm ware to no avail.

    Sound is very weak processed and lacks everything in tone that you expect. It sounds like playing guitars through a a stereo system.

    For the price and size of the amp, the amp sounds absolutely amazing. The clean channels sound amazing with a bit of reverb and delay thrown in, and the OverDrive option with the gain control can get you anywhere from classic rock tones to heavy metal tones. Honestly a really good buy and I do not regret it!

    I don't review much, but I felt I had to on this amp. For the price, I don't think it can be beat. I was immediately blown away by how much true stereo effect this tiny thing can produce. For such a small package, it has some amazing tone. I have had several practice amps of this size and nothing compares. The built in Mods and FX are simple to use and inspiring. I would say the only drawback I have found would be poor sustain. But it is a 10W 2 x 5 so I wasn't expecting anything really.

    Very handy little amp to use at my apartment in Bangkok. Some really sweet tones in clean channels (I'm not a distortion guy, but can get reasonable Stones sounds). The effects are very good, don't use with any pedal. Also, being stereo, nice to plug laptop into. They could have put more thought into the software, and don't seem responsive to user requests, but no big deal. Not a whole lot of bottom, but then again, that doesn't irritate neighbors either. Nice and light, so didn't go over baggage weight limit. I'm considering adding external 12 volt battery pack to make it a "play anywhere" amp. I got the red one, very attractive.

    Great little amp. Great sound quality and surprisingly loud. Used it to play in front of about of 150 people with a piano player and half dozen vocalists. no problem.

    can this amp be used for basses too or just solely guitars?
