Decent with acoustic electric

By Matt Mooney

from Cleveland, OH

Owned it for 2 weeks now and here are all the flaws that I have found. The first thing that I noticed right out of the box was how thin the manual was. Once I got it plugged into my 2 12's and then to my acoustic electric I found it to be quite decent without any effects. With the effects on it clips do not buy this for the effects, they work only at low almost indistinguishable levels with an acoustic guitar. Finally, the volume levels are strange, nothing can be even close to max. So in order to run my acoustic electric through I keep the effects off, feedback control on(which shuts off the eq by the way) the highs at 5, lows at around 2.. and the master and channel volume at around 3, with my acoustics highs mids and lows at 0. Basically all you get with this in my situation is volume with very little effects, and is therefore decent as an acoustic head/practice amp of sorts.

Great unit, Great buy!

By Fred

from Springfield, MO

Just got the Behringer a couple days ago. On one hand, I plan on running tapes/CD's, maybe a turntable? for the oldies, and playing along with a home studio miked up drum kit ( high and low-Z) running thru all five channels. Might be jamming from time to time ( used to be a pro drummer for 30yrs.)- and will use as submix for drums and can power a couple of monitors. This unit is great! For home use as drummers private PA- and as a drum mixer going into a stage PA- this little unit fills the bill. And it has effects!! A great buy- but they ought to tell you to only remove the two outer mini-screws when installing the rack plates. Still the best package of this kind out there!

Tough as Nails

By NAthan A. Smith Sr

from Gouverneur New York 13642

I purchased this little PA from a local music store 4 years ago and have worked it to death playing every week since I purchased it. It transports well in the foam lined case I made for it. It has never had any problems of any kind. Now, I don't turn it up to 9, or 10 and try to push 4 15" cabinets with it. I wrote a review on this item for another online store expressing my opinion that if it is used for what it was intended it will stand up to the job. It was not intended to power a Hard rock band or to be run at full volume for extended periods of time. I was and still am wary of some of Barringer's products. But NOT THIS ONE. It has served me well and I woukd purchase it again if needed. Nathan A, Smith Sr.

This mixer is doing everything we hoped it would

By Lee

from Grand Rapids, MI

Our band bought this product to power two floor wedge monitors in our practice space. This powered mixer has fit the bill nicely and we have found it very easy to use. The power is more than adequate and the eq and effects have worked well. We have been running three vocal mics(only)through it. So far this seems to be a "good bang for the buck" purchase.

Do not buy.

By Hunter

from Marietta, GA

While it lasted, this mixer worked great. But withing two months of having it, it blew out. So I got another one. That one blew out too. They do not last much longer than 3 months. Beware.

So Far So Good

By Dave

from Orlando, FL

I've owned the powered mixer for 3 months and it has worked as advertised. I have it in a rack and use it as a practice amp for my vocals, harmonica and mandolin. I have also used it as a pre-mixer for drums into a larger amp. I like the effects and the lit EQ
