The V92C-B guitar humbucker pickup is well-known for its high clarity and definition. It has a warm, clear tone and can be used for neck or bridge positions. It brings out every nuance in the inner voices of complex chords. The attack and overall quality of tone is in the region between crisp, acoustic tone and the rounded, or "diffused", treble quality of vintage humbuckers. This allows a very flexible interaction with onboard and amplifier tone settings. With the addition of one of Bartolini's preamps (sold separately), the gain can be modified in many ways for tonal shaping and for overdrive characteristics.
