Comments about Blue Lola Sealed Over-Ear Headphones:
My Audiophile Friends, Musicians and Friends in general, there is now a new set of Headphones available that I can give my highest recommendation to. Keep in mind that I have been associated with Audio for more then 30 years now, I'm aware of everything there is to know about stalwart audio companies like AKG, Sennheiser, Beyer, Bose, Grado, Sony, and all the latest contingent, Beats, Marshall, etc. These companies have always had serious research & development goals in producing the best Headphones available, some with Marketing skills that help push their line-offering to new heights. There are a couple of so-called "Boutique" companies that I haven't mentioned that are in the game with retail costs that are beyond reach for 90% of us. In my research which included product information by the company, Blue, articles by Studio Producers, Musicians, endorsements by a number of respected Drummers in the field, Peter Erskine and Vinny Colaiuta to name two, The Blue "Lola" has excelled in every aspect of a headphone offering. The Sound is exceptional, high highs, the lowest of low-end easily able to handle Mike Rutherford's Bass pedals on early Genesis. Dimensionality and depth in a two-channel design--outstanding, you're engulfed in sound. Comfort, I listened for three hours last night and this morning with no fatigue, good to go for another three easily. Its a comfortable closed-ear design. Detachable mini-plug cable, very smart, you get two, one for your Audio system and one for the IPad and the like. I speak from experience when I say to you that headphones go bad mostly from a deterioration of the cable and not the speaker elements in a great many cases. A neat faux-leather case comes for transit. If you decide it's time for a serious set of Headphones--that won't break the bank and in some cases could out-perform your reference speakers, these are the set you've been waiting for. If you weren't as lucky as I this Christmas, find a reason for a purchase, you won't be disappointed. Frank DeFonda
