Need to mic amp for Harp. This product is simple, easy to set up and avoids the problems with floor based mic stands. Perfect solution to mic an amp. Without a stand or holder, the sound man just hangs a mic from the amp strap and lets it dangle in the middle of the speakers. This product allows quick and secure placement of the mic at the correct angle to the speaker cone for optimum effect. Will never go back to a conventional stand.

      These are the bomb

Comments about Audix CabGrabber Microphone Holder:

When you work on a small stage with multiple acts, and lots of alcohol flowing, mic stands get kicked around and the mic sometimes ends up in a way different position than the one you put it in! The cabgrabber solves this problem, big time! We are a regional sound company and do many events every year with multiple acts. Lots of people on stage, sometimes on very tight stages. I have positioned mic's on guitar amps, get back to the FOH position, get into the show, and I am listening, where did that guitar go, only to look on stage to find that the gtr mic is no where the guitar amp. Well the cabgrabber can't be knocked over or pulled away by a guitar cable getting wrapped around it!

Works great with an SM57 and Laney Cub Cab

      By Rod Stewart

Comments about Audix CabGrabber Microphone Holder:

Not much to say here. I was looking for a space saving option for micing my cab and this is an ideal solution. Setup was quick and easy and the sound is great. I'd definitely recommend one. I'm considering grabbing another and dual-micing my cab.

      Fantastic!

Comments about Audix CabGrabber Microphone Holder:

I bought this for my Blackstar Stage 60 amp, to mic larger venues through the PA. i used to have a small, stand-alone stand that weighed about 10lbs, and it was a pain to carry around in my gig bag. I?ve used this thing twice now, and it is amazing! Small enough to fit in a gig bag, and light enough not to notice and take up much space. It holds my Sure Beta 57a perfectly in place, and it takes up no room at all. very sturdy, and has a good grip on the cabinet. Highly recommended if playing pubs or limited space stages.

Better than a mic stand, but could be improved

      By Glenn

      from glennlray@peoplepc.com

Comments about Audix CabGrabber Microphone Holder:

This is a really good unit and works best with short microphones (like the Audix i5) or those with flat faces (like the Sennheiser e300 series). It sets up very quickly and makes wiring convenient with a couple of cable clips along the side. The only minor drawbacks are: 1) minimal range of mic-to-grill placement and 2) inability to have a "memory lock" so that mic placement remains the same from setup to setup. These are minor and this is still superior to having a mic stand in front of the cabinet. As mentioned by others, it is not designed well for the SM57 mics "out of the box," but that can be remedied with a good mic clip or an extention added to the Cab Grabber front pad.

Comments about Audix CabGrabber Microphone Holder:

This is a great product. Built well and will help decrease stage and studio clutter. I will testify that this product works well with fender hot rod deville 2x12 and fender deluxe reverb 1x12 guitar amps

      Great idea!

      By Paul J

Comments about Audix CabGrabber Microphone Holder:

Cabgrabber. What a great idea. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. This fits in my gig big and I no longer have to drag a mic stand to use when "micing" my amp.

      Audix Cab Grabber Review

      By Robert F. English

      from Needham, MA

Comments about Audix CabGrabber Microphone Holder:

Kudos to Audix for their new CabGrabber! I use 3 of them on our individual combo-size amps; it saves lugging mike stands around or doing the old "loop the mike cord through the amp handle" tedium. Not to mention, more accurate and stable aiming of mike on speaker makes the band sound better. Perhaps in future they might come up with one where the arm that holds the mike clip telescopes a bit.....no matter, it works fine already. Recommended!!!
