Getting the advice out of the way: If you are a DJ or are buying headphones to listen to a stereo or a device then these are not for you. Look at the DJ headphones instead. That being said, I was fairly impressed with these headphones. I plugged them into my stereo (I know, against my own advice but I was just testing them out). The first thing I noticed is that a stereo or small device will not drive them well. I turned them up to 90% to get them nice and loud. Again I was impressed by the full separation and TOTAL lack of distortion at such a high volume. Each instrument was clearly represented and easily picked out of the mix. Don't let the phrase "flat response" fool you, with some low EQ tweaking I got the drivers thumping still with no distortion with plenty of high and mid presentation. I wore them for a full 2 hours with no adverse affects (i.e. headaches, earaches)
And now, the drawbacks. First, the cable, while long, flexible and seemingly well shielded, is straight not coiled but then that's more of a preference thing. Also the cable is not replaceable like some of it's equally priced counterparts. I didn't like the white color either but that's also a preference thing. They also seem very loose and have a tendency to flop around in your hands.
