  • Great amp for the money!

As reviewed by Ernie on 4/13/2015

Solid practice amp, which is what I needed for my little music studio. The tone is warm and solid because of the nice 12" speaker and 30 watts is plenty of power for my use. I have the main volume set at about 10 o'clock on the dial, and I'm regularly afraid the neighbors upstairs or beside me might complain. Not being a professional player, I have not been able to see what it will do "opened up." The amp looks great and is built really solid. I am only mildly disappointed in one thing. The headphone/line out jack is an 1/8th" stereo mini-jack. who in their right mind would try to play bass through a pair of iphone earbuds, or the like? I have good pro quality headphones (1/4" jack) for when I need to be quiet, but more often, I want to take that output into the Line-In on my mixer and play along with tracks on my computer. I had to go buy an adapter to connect the crappy little jack to the standard mixer input. Oh, well...just a minor flaw in an otherwise awesome product. this amp sounds GREAT with my Squier jazz bass!

  • Good little amp

As reviewed by RICHARD COOPER on 11/30/2012

I have a Acoustic B20, I use for small jams and it sounds great. The new B30 is a new version of that amp and has some new features overdrive, low mid, high mid and a shape button. One of the best little bass amp for the money, just need for the speaker to break in.

  • meh.

As reviewed by Ryan Katz on 1/26/2013

The first time I used this amp after purchasing it new, it was discovered that there is a problem with one of the eq pots that causes it to make an obnoxious buzzing, humming, hissing sound. I tried taking the amp out of the speaker cab assembly to see if I could resolve this, but the speaker enclosure was assembled around the amp making impossible to remove the amp without destroying the speaker cable or speaker enclosure. Other than this problem, the amp gets a more than acceptable tone for the price you pay, but makes me wonder how many other amps have the same problem mine does.
